Re: Tuesday, July 18, 2017 Game Recap & Discussion [SPOILERS]
Even if Darcy had converted DD2 she still would have been shy of the lead for the FJ! round. Deborah still has a clean sheet with 4/4 on DDs and 2/2 on the FJ! clues.
Deborah’s wagering for the FJ! round could have cost her as 19800 does not cover Darcy’s potential of 20800. Math, strategy, pretty number? Something was going on. Darcy seemed to aim for Deborah betting her lead of 4400 and going a buck better.
Unlike many who will play the FJ! clue with only one name to lock in I had two on my paper for consideration as I recalled Houdini (thanks to watching the Adrien Brody miniseries) meeting with the Romanovs. My Marktiple choice went the right way as my inkling was the clue would have needed more of a magical hint and less of a religious one to go the Houdini way. [Wipes brow]

I would have gone for the lock on the last DD and been rewarded for my hubris. Not that it would have mattered, as I was just as quick as the players on FJ.
If you are willing to toss away at a chance at a win on a TS FJ, you might as well go all in.

I quickly thought of the correct answer and stuck with it. It should also be noted that December of last year marked the 100 year anniversary of his death.

Easy fj. I guess Deborah miscalculated by 1k.
Other than the 400 clue, NHO any of the witch movies.

Very questionable wagers from the contestants today. You play to win the game, people. You play to win the game.

The one time the all-in suicide wager would've worked, and punished a bad wager by the leader...*sigh*

Alex Ovechkin (Russian NHL superstar), shirtless at his wedding last weekend, singing and dancing to Boney M's version of the FJ answer.

Re: Tuesday, July 18, 2017 Game Recap & Discussion [SPOILERS]
I find it nearly inconceivable that anyone involved in writing or vetting or reading that FJ clue could have thought it was anything other than a complete snowball. AT's comment before the contestant reveals seemed kind of a "Ya Think?" moment, at least as pertains to this one FJ.

What was the $2000 clue in committee chairs (last in dj)?
I'd rather cuddle then have sex. If you're into grammar, you'll understand.
