CONTESTANT INTERVIEWS
Alex: Gary Waters is from Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Gary, last year, my wife was among thousands of people who traveled to places like Kentucky and Tennessee to witness the total eclipse of the sun. Did you do that? Because I know you have now witnessed how many total eclipses?
Gary: That was the third one I've seen.
Alex: Wow.
Gary: And we ended up in Tennessee on the eclipse line there.
Alex: Did you meet my wife?
Gary: No. It seems a bit crazy to travel a thousand miles or more just for two and a half minutes, but it was worth it. And by the way, there's one coming up through the continental United States in 2024. And I hope just as many millions can see it then.
Alex: Okay. Good for you.
Alex: Kate Fink, journalism professor from New York and a new mom. Tell me about the baby.
Kate: Yes, I am. She's 8 weeks old, and my husband Matt decided--he had a vision that her name should be something a little unusual, Catalyst.
Alex: Because she will bring about changes?
Kate: And she has.
Alex: Oh.
Kate: But we compromised. It's her middle name.
Alex: Oh. What's her first name?
Kate: Her first name is Valerie.
Alex: Okay, good. V.C. Valerie Catalyst, all right.
Alex: Josh Hill, network engineer. Now, at the beginning of the program, for three days now, when Johnny introduces you, you do this movement.
[Alex mimics Josh's hand gesture from contestant introductions.]
Alex: Is there any significance to that?
Josh: Just--I like tigers, I guess.
Alex: Okay.

(Gary: What is Acts?)
TRIPLE STUMPERS IN THE JEOPARDY! ROUND
JEFF BRIDGES $800: As a Texas ranger chasing bank robbers in this 2016 film, Jeff discovers the T-Bone Cafe & its very limited menu
JEFF BRIDGES $1000: In 2006's "Stick It", Jeff plays a very grumpy coach of girls in this sport
HOMOPHONIC PAIRS $600: The bovine group whose moos reached our ears
(Josh: What are the cows' cows?)
HOMOPHONIC PAIRS $1000: Water's edge forested by a variety of deciduous tree
BIBLE STUDY $600: In the 15th century Bible seen here, this book opens with an image of King David, said to be its author
