I thought that was much harder than last night's...of course it's always harder when the pressure is on! Unless 3 or 4 of the answers were " ", there is no way I passed. :)

That was a nice mix of "wow, that's really easy!" and "I'm supposed to know that?". Guessing I ended up on the bubble at best, after making it to interviews four years ago. Disappointing, but oh well, better luck next year!

Well that was a miserable failure, at least I think so. I'll have to wait until the questions are posted to be sure, but I can't imagine I got any more than 30, let alone 35. Hopefully I'll surprise myself, but I don't think so.

Sigh. Yeah.

I hated the way I couldn't highlight my response, delete it, and type something new. Hitting that backspace ate up precious clock. In two cases, I didn't get my new response typed in time. And in one of those case, I probably would have gotten credit if I'd left well enough alone.

I assume it's safe to discuss actual clues here, but just in case:
Spoiler
I had "Leo's Trios", but noticed that the clue referred to a single group. That's not "Trios" but "Trio". But then, I thought, I'd better make it "Leo Trio". So I backspaced until all I had was "Leo" and didn't get the space and the "Trio" typed in time.

It definitely felt harder to me than last night's, but I was also taking this one for real which probably changes one's subjective impression of difficulty. Feels like I passed, but I definitely want to confirm that when the transcript is posted.

My anxiety may have gotten the better of me. I missed at least 3 clues by skipping ahead when the time ran out. I'll know when the test is posted. Also, more WAGs than I'm comfortable with. Yesterday was way easier.

When does the transcript go up and where is it posted? I'd love to check some of those questions out. I had a much harder time with this year's test than in the past. I'd love to see a video like the one that was posted yesterday.

Thanks.

Last night, I scored a 40 on the Eastern time zone test, when it didn't count.
Tonight, when it did count, I had no fewer than ten blanks without any answer, and I'm sure I missed two or three others.

I took the actual test for fun tonight. It felt a lot harder than last night's questions, but I wound up with 42 right, one less than I did yesterday. Completely wagged the country music question but it turned out to be right.

I think I made some stupid mistakes. I'd put together a couple notebooks of things I thought they might ask, and I should have done some reviewing.
Spoiler
I was surprised that they asked a question about the 2012 TV season so soon and I hate it when they ask about cable TV since I don't have cable. I'd been trying to learn capitals, and the one we had was one that I wasn't really familiar with. I typed in another country, and thought about it and the right answer came to me. I recognized the Shakespeare play but got the wrong character. Chapman and 1847 made no sense to me, and the clue about the mountain and 1866 wasn't familiar.
The country music question was also not familiar. I grew up in the South, you'd think I'd know enough about that, but I'm not really current.

I actually think I did better than last night's. Good thing because I was taking this one for real. But two answers-
Spoiler
[Steve Jobs and Armenia
(both of which I knew and drew a blank on) may keep me out. I hope not-it seemed like I did well enough otherwise(I didn't count-I'll wait for the list of answers later to know for sure).

You know about ctrl-a, shift-ctrl-left & shift-home, right? Every computer user should know all of those, along with ctrl-c, ctrl-v, ctrl-x & ctrl-z. Not to mention ctrl-b, ctrl-i & ctrl-u, which work in some programs, but not most.

I thought overall it was pretty fair. I started out strong, hit a few weak spots in my knowledge toward the middle. I was focusing so hard on the questions I didnt pay enough attention to the categories. I eagerly await the transcript or a youtube video.

That depends entirely on who, if anyone, recorded the test.
