Spoiler
The first player got the first six right. He then missed. The second player missed. The third player missed. The pass was not used. Three chances for the $10,000 and they went 0/3. Ouch.
This happened again on tonight's episode. "The Madison Family" made it to the Bonus Round although "The Best Man" played just as well as they did. Team captain Allie got the first 6 right on her own without even using the pass. I would say the most exemplary trivia knowledge on this show in a while. The pass was used by the team this time. The good news is, they still wouldn't have won the $10,000 even if Gina hazarded a guess on the WNBA draft which I thought was a pretty interesting question. I've read about a William Shakespeare who was drafted in either The Pittsburgh Pirates or the Philadelphia 76ers. This intrigues me just as much.

Joey was close to being Richard Dawson as after the right answer he asked, "How does that work? Show me." The moment was funny as is and then the lady fanned herself and simulated smoking a cigarette for more laughs and applause.

Most of the mass? Most of the volume?

Nothing wrong with that answer - just a bad question.

Maybe there is a sketch where the Muppets sing MMMBop. ;)

Yes, enjoying contestants missing stuff they should know is part of watching the show. In doing so, feeling superior can go along with it.

I also like the show for seeing the contestants answer stuff I don't know as I can always learn new things.

Tonight had one that could be an evil FJ! clue.

U.S. STATES

The largest group of states to celebrate their statehood bicentennial did so in what year

**********
This show has multiple choice of course:
Spoiler
1976, 1984 or 1988
What happened and correct answer:
Spoiler
The player ended the team's chance in the bonus round by guessing the sucker's play of 1976 when 1988 was the right one.

Common Knowledge is back with new episodes.

You can also now play Common Knowledge on Alexa, although I doubt anyone here would be interested.

Today's episode was a second chance episode.

Today's Funny Moment:

What type of craft are you doing if you are using a "purl bind off"?

The team answered with Paint Remover because of the word "off".

The show ended on a very high note where the team captain of Mommy Mayhem got 7 questions on her own to win the $10,000, showing the very definition of redemption.

Your "good cholesterol" is also known by what three-letter abbreviation?

A. HBL
B. HCL
C. HDL

Team's Answers: C B B

The Third Woman: I didn't know so I thought C maybe it is cholesterol.

Pretty much understandable why two of the women picked HCL. However, HDL and LDL along with many other health abbreviations are pretty much important to know in my opinion.

What surprised me is that in Joey's side note, he didn't even mention that HDL stands for High Density Lipoprotein.

The show is still educational and entertaining as long as the viewer is heavy on the fast forwarding.

TV-Y7-FV - What does the FV stand for? I was off like the team that wrote (3rd round is not multiple guess) "family viewing" and learned it was "fantasy violence" which the other team rebounded correctly.

What is a quill pig? The team got it right while spelling it "porkipine".
