"Common Knowledge" fail that will definitely upset many BOARDIES.

If you add the number of points in an NFL Field Goal, runs in an MLB Grand Slam, and goals in an NHL Hat Trick, what is the total?

The first team said 9, the second team said 8.

Also for the millionth time, Greenland is NOT a country. Do game show writers even care about the UN?

Kosovo has been recognized by the UN since 2008. Wales is part of the United Kingdom. Palestine is not recognized by the UN, neither is Taiwan.

Kosovo has been recognized by the UN since 2008. Wales is part of the United Kingdom. Palestine is not recognized by the UN, neither is Taiwan.
Wales is a constituent country of the UK; you can call it one. The US (and thus US game shows like J!) treats Taiwan as a country. Palestine is a non-member observer state of the UN while Kosovo is not. Kosovo is recognized by 100 UN members as a country (and not recognized as such by the other 93); the UN itself doesn't have a say on that matter.

It's not enough to rely solely on the UN for status; it fails on edge cases.

Very predictable that the contestant on the winning team was going to guess Cupid for the FTD logo as I was laughing and shaking my head before the choices appeared.

In many places (certainly around here), it's just called "the boot", and I had no idea until a couple of years ago that it was called anything else. Inferring that the city involved is an automotive center like Detroit seems reasonable to me.

Sometimes the wrong choices by the writers are just as much fun as the contestant errors.

To remove air bubbles

For good luck

So the butter will sink to the bottom

All three team members knew it was A while B greatly amused me.
