So after submitting my entry, I read an article which mentioned FAANG. Doesn't always pay to enter these things too early. It did confirm that one of my guesses was correct, however.

In fifth grade, I remember a female classmate who was a big fan of a particular music artist becoming very excited upon an incidental mention of the Fall of the House of Usher.

I'm sure she would have been very disappointed.

I always considered Pym a long short story or a novella rather than a full-on novel, so I thought I could squeak by. Oh, well.
