Got stuck on Gauguin and couldn't think of anything so I said "It's a Magical Place" as a joke.

I think maybe Weems might stick in my brain this time.

Have not seen any version of The Island of Dr. Moreau nor read the book. Also haven't seen Moana.
Oh, what has science wrought? I sought only to turn a man into a metal-encased juggernaut of destruction powered by the unknown properties of a mysterious living crystal. How could this have all gone wrong?

Fifth straight week of 4+ FJ's. I've missed three since the start of February.
81/120 overall.
Hoping for a third lap

I knew exactly what was being referred to on Thurs, just blanked on what it was called. All I got down on my paper was DR....
I don't think I've ever read or seen any version in full...funny, since I'm a Wells and Charles Laughton fan, and the 90s version has a reputation for containing one of Brando's craziest performances - and that's saying something!

Monday was WECIB, Thursday was CIBTOTICTO (could it be the only thing I can think of).

I've been having trouble with my digital receiver in the last few weeks; it turns itself on at the appointed time, but sometimes it fails to start recording and then just stays on until I come home and turn it off. So I've had a VCR as backup, since the receiver will be on no matter what happens. Anyway, on Tuesday I got home and the receiver was still on, so it hadn't recorded digitally, but the videotape had the recording—of 30 minutes of Super Tuesday coverage. I made sure when Jeopardy would air and set the receiver to record at 2 am, and stayed up and made sure it went off without a hitch, which it did.

Couldn't untrack from live-action on Friday. Frustrating since this is the closest I've ever come to a 5/5 in 13 years. If I had actually SEEN Moana then I think it would have clicked.

Will I ever get a perfecto?

Had Crick but blanked on Watson.
Negged with Washington Irving for the GW bio.

Saw the execrable Marlon Brando/Val Kilmer version of Moreau back in 1996 in the theater.
I would prefer not to.

Not a great week for me, never was super focused, but I at least ended with a positive.
I have a 2-year-old daughter, so I have seen plenty of Moana

Never seen or read Dr. Moreau

Never seen Moana. Did not consider an animated film for the answer.

Went with Washington Irving for the Washington biographer.

Playing from the board, I somehow read 'Tahitian ' as 'Trinidadian ' ( which I'm not even sure is a language) . Needless to say, that got me nowhere.

It sister language, Tobagan, has nothing to do with sledding.
