I had to read Importance in high school; I didn't remember the line in question, but it was easy enough to get.

I said Triassic, but that's my own folly and I don't blame the writers.

Oh, what has science wrought? I sought only to turn a man into a metal-encased juggernaut of destruction powered by the unknown properties of a mysterious living crystal. How could this have all gone wrong?

I see 9 voters and a 2+7 for the Tertiary clue while I did not check either box. Hmm...someone voted for both?

----  ----

This didn't feel like a perfect week, but look, there it is in green.

Spoiled on tertiassic. Don't know where I'd have gone there.

I guess I've read more about Wilde than by him. I intended to read the Portable once, but then it didn't happen. But I was ready for him, Ibsen, Shaw, and Our American Cousin.

Pretty sure I'd have stuck with Pakistan even if I'd thought of Bangladesh.

P.S. Do you like the way I've centered the second green row under the top? I have a bit more time on my hands than usual this week.
I'm smart and I want respect.

First Box of Glory for me! Streak is still just 5, thanks to Moana. The only one I was nervous about was the geography/religion/demographics one - but I talked myself into the fact that India has an absolutely huge population, so they must have a large absolute number of their second largest religion.

The "comic book = graphic novel" clue seemed almost more like a regular round clue than a FJ! clue. Or maybe a DD?

I vaguely remember reading "The Importance of Being Earnest" in high school, but I'm 99% sure it wasn't for class. And I did see the early 2000s movie - on TV, I think, and not recently - but I didn't remember it at all until I looked it up on wikipedia. I couldn't tell you much about the play before reading the page, other than that it's a farce written by Wilde, and the title is a pun on the name Ernest.

Heard of the Kalahari desert, but if you told me it was in the Middle East instead of Southern Africa, I'd believe you. If it doesn't have to do with a city or a country, I am highly likely to goof on geography...well, even if it DOES involve a city or country.

Hailee Steinfeld's name rings a vague bell, but just as a "Gen Z film actress who hasn't been in anything I could match with her name". Didn't know Apple TV+ had a Dickinson series. Honestly, I didn't know Apple TV+ had series that were well-known enough to be canon - although I guess this was just "name a 19th century American female poet" in disguise, and I failed at recognizing that.

I didn't NEED the "Texas tea" help, but I definitely knew "black gold" from the Beverly Hillbillies.
