Today's 3/1 ep. was the 57th of the season.

GSN's schedule on my onscreen guide shows:

March 2-5 to get the count to 61 episodes.

Next week:
March 8
March 9 back-to-back new shows at 4 & 4:30
March 10 last new one of the season to get it to the expected 65 episodes.

Jonathan: The highest contestant score we've ever seen.

Me: Early in Season 1, a contestant scored 7400.

Evidently none of the Master Minds knew the nautical miles question and only one knew Magellan's flagship.

They may be Master Minds, but they certainly aren't Eggheads. ;)

How many times have you seen one of them give a look like "Oh, yeah, I knew that one, darn it!" after the answer is revealed? Just because they answered incorrectly or didn't come up with the answer doesn't necessarily mean they didn't know it. Just like someone getting an answer correct in the first round (multiple choice) doesn't mean that they knew the answer.

Disastrous final round on Friday's episode. I got all 5. Easy $10k for me.

Most surprised Arianna missed Leonidas.

Monday's Final Round wasn't as bad, but again, a 5/5 for me making it another easy $10k win.

Today, there were two episodes of Master Minds. The first episode had a $10k winner. The second episode was a continuation of the $10k winner.

I wonder if tomorrow's back-to-back episodes will be the same case?

Also disappointed at Ken for missing a question about one of my favorite places, The Schonbrunn Palace.

I will spoil it right now and tell you "no".

There's only one new episode left in the season.

Schonnbrun bored me. That Somalia question (Africa’s longest coastline) seems like a recent question on a show jennings was on yet he got it wrong. Good try by Patrick.

The upshot is ... contestants win 7.7% of the time. Not very good odds. And at that, you basically have a 33% chance of getting $1,000.

If you are travelling far on an airplane to be on the show, you are barely breaking even or losing money if you only win $1,000 after taxes.

IF is the key word there, and the $1,000 is BEFORE taxes, so yes, it's not likely that your trip will be paid for. Which is why I haven't bothered auditioning for them.

Love how the March 5th episode, which Ken was not part of, featured the answer "Boricua"
Spoiler
He got it wrong on The Chase premier.

Is it possible they pay airfare and/or hotel? Considering 2/3rd of the players walk away with nothing it seems plausible.
