TD 450 - Best Laid Plans... [Final results]

Post by clt013 »

This quiz was originally written a few months ago when my kids had helped plan the itinerary for a summer trip which ultimately had to be scrapped - although we did manage to take a different "Plan B" vacation a few weeks ago. The title is "Best Laid Plans…" and the questions are based on things we had expected to be doing in early July.

Rules/Notes
1) Lowest point total wins; your score for each question is equal to the total number of players submitting that same answer
2) You may use one drop and take zero points for one question
3) You may elect to take the "sheep" (most popular) answer for one question
4) Wrong responses are the "sheep" answer +4
5) All answers are due by 8 AM Central time on Monday, August 3, 2020
6) If you need clarification on a clue, want to verify your responses or have other questions please PM me. If you're not sure something is a correct answer, don't use it.
7) No cheating (Pressing the Google key, etc.)
8) Submit answers via this Google form or PM

Extending the entry deadline until at least 1 PM Central time this afternoon.

Hoping to start the reveal later today, but possible that (appropriately enough) plans will need to change again.

NYCScribbler (Cleveland Indians - lost 2016 World Series)
Even the Indians had won in 2016, they still would've been an incorrect answer. They previously won the World Series in 1920 and 1948.

Wow. This is my worst TD ever. I started out so good with a singleton, and the rest have all been sheep except one wrong answer.

Now my goal is to get below the all-sheep line.

Congrats to the winners and to clt013 for another great quiz.
Now if I had only stuck to sports on Q9, as I typically do. Either sports answer (Cool Papa Bell or the Lightning) would have put me in a tie for first. But no complaining with my second-ever podium finish!

Enjoy the weekend, all!

Thanks for putting together this quiz!

I can thank the many jokes that Letterman made during the run up to "Superman Returns" that burned Brandon Routh into my head as the difference here.
