Jeff later played again: http://www.j-archive.com/showgame.php?game_id=3092

14 clues not played including DD3.

The FJ! clue was a quick presidential connect the dots on original viewing and playing the clue again nearly two decades later.

Golf and J! are not specialties of Sir Charles. Shooting from the hip when behind the mic is better suited for him.

Jeff Probst has been a good friend of the show as besides playing more than once, he’s also delivered more than 60 clues. Martha and Charles have also delivered clues though at a much smaller count than Jeff.

If J! ever gets to the point of needing an emergency pinch hitter to host then Jeff could step up and do it as long as he’s not busy snuffing torches.

Martha Stewart can sure take up time from either side of the podium, can't she?

Apparently Jeff Probst didn't know that The Sound of Music was a Broadway show, or he didn't know Camalot was a musical, since he thought one was a play and the other wasn't...
And speaking of tricky terminology, it's sad that even 19 years ago, the J! writers didn't know or care that a Broadway recording was a cast album, not a soundtrack... :ugeek:

This show was from the same week as yesterday's; why was yesterday's not filmed in Vegas like the other four that week?

I would guess that they tacked on the Regis episode onto the regular schedule for a 6 show day. Since there are no returning champs they could film it any time - they could simply film at the whim of the celebs. Regis was doing five shows a week in NYC at that time - Live could have done a "California Dreamin'" week and Regis could pop in. Or perhaps they did it on Live's hiatus.

And perhaps the Vegas episodes could only accommodate 2 shows per day due to having to haul the audience in and out. If they're only heading there for two days...some an extra show at the home base could solve problems.

I was seeking knowledge, not speculation; and anyway, yesterday's episode was Jodie Foster/Nathan Lane/Harry Connick, Jr.

That's pretty much the reaction I had, as well.

Charles used to talk about running for governor here. Not that we have a great track record in our elected officials, but I am glad he stayed out of politics.

I remember seeing this episode before on either DailyMotion or YouTube back in 2011, and it was an entertaining episode, especially when Charles didn’t ring in on a single clue in the Jeopardy! round.

That said, other comments I’d like to make are that I really liked the set that was used for these episodes as it looks a lot like the CES set albeit with older technology (e.g. the seven-segment displays on the contestant lecterns). The set was also used for the 2000 ToC in Atlanta in S16. In addition, this particular episode was the first to use the 2001-2008 theme song, which was put permanently into use on 4/23/01.
