For those that only knew that Brad won and not the details, his four games did not quite go as you may have thought?

If Brad had bet it all in the FJ! round he had a possible 27,200 (+11800) for a 2-day total of 39,000.

If Bob solves DD3 he has 21200 for the FJ! round and could have won the whole thing.

Funny how Alex asked the guys about winning the million and Brad said he may never have to get a real job. This was Brad's third time on the show and his J! annuity has only grown.

Going back to SF2, it’s still today fascinating to wonder about an alternate timeline when Leslie bets enough to win. Brad would not have had enough J! winnings to be on easy street with winning under $200K. Does he have to get a “real job” and is not able to become as trivia buffed-up as he made himself for the UToC? For sure Brad does not get a bye in the UToC and that could have had him ending up short of the $2M prize.

On the other hand it could be that Brad still wins the UToC, only having to play an extra game, and nothing changes with other J! events moving forward. We'll never know.

Sorry to see Opus’ dream of a player coming back from a distant third didn’t come true.

I hadn’t seen (or didn’t remember) the whole tournament so it was fun to see. No, Brad wasn’t as dominant as you might think. A better bet by Leslie and he loses his SF match. Or if Bob gets his DD, Bob wins the million. Or if he misses his QF FJ, he doesn’t get a wild card.

Today's FJ reminds me that I need to restudy US presidents. Well, I probably do - haven't quizzed myself on the order/years lately. But I knew that Jefferson was a VP, and that the first 10 terms were served by 6 presidents - with Adams x2 being the one-term presidents. I was rock solid on the two terms, and then shored up my knowledge by remembering Hamilton - also good for another clue in the tourney this week IIRC.

Unless there's a factoid to lead you to the middle, it seems most of these types of presidential FJ!s seem to go to the ends of the list - makes sense, because there's only 30 seconds to run through 45 (well, 43) presidents.

Bob needed to lead Brad by more than $2,500 going into FJ to be able to win on a triple get. Bob led Brad by $2,400 in Coryat, so no DD wager would have saved him the tournament if he wasn't going to get either one right. His particular choice of wagers may have been the difference between $50,000 and $100,000, but he was certainly trying to win.

I was going to ask a really stupid question and ask why George H.W. Bush wasn't a correct answer, but now I realize I read the clue entirely wrong (I thought it was asking who was a VP for two full terms.

1. Great job by Eric rallying to at least force Brad to get FJ right;
2. Those missed DDs by Bob were just as heartbreaking to watch now as they were back then;
3. The people who didn’t watch this tournament back in the day were probably surprised to see that Brad did not dominate this tournament at all. His dominance in tournament play has included a lot of close calls, but credit to him for pulling them out in the end;
4. While it is too soon for another big tournament, they certainly are exciting. Someday, we should get a tourney that includes James, Larissa, Matt, Alex Jacob, etc.
