I thought Michael Richards said the show wasn't broken...I thought Alex Trebek didn't like the All-Stars format, I hope they don't use the All-Stars format again, but how else could J! be a team competition?

9 play at the same time? 9 buzzers and quick huddles for whichever team rings in first? There is room for three teammates around each lectern.
If the event is looking for representation around the country then list the 15 schools that will play.
USC
Harvard
The Ohio State
Texas
Florida
UNC
Oregon
(pick one from Illinois)

It sounds like they're going with teams of 2.

Fascinating. Presumably, they will be bringing in contestants from all over the country, so maybe they will reopen casting soon for the regular season

Ah, got you. One plays J! and one plays DJ! For the FJ! round the team members decide who plays or most clues correct from previous rounds earns the nod?
Something different, give it a shot. If it stinks then don't repeat. It's only two weeks.

Re: 2021 College Championship...in teams
or maybe it will be filmed away from California where there are less restrictive rules for quarantine?
OK, that seems unlikely, but interesting the show is "predicting" what they will be allowed to do in "early 2021".
The big question I have is what happens to the players on the winning team as far as the TOC goes? Both get in, none, play as a team in the TOC?
Total game show career losings = $171,522

I'm pretty sure they're not sending Alex anywhere, especially not somewhere with less restrictive rules.triviawayne wrote: ↑Wed Oct 07, 2020 12:47 pm or maybe it will be filmed away from California where there are less restrictive rules for quarantine?

I thought about the TOC when I saw this. They wouldn't let either of them play I would imagine, which is a shame IMO.triviawayne wrote: ↑Wed Oct 07, 2020 12:47 pmor maybe it will be filmed away from California where there are less restrictive rules for quarantine?

Anyone who has been monitoring university message boards would know this is not the year to put any kind of pressure whatsoever on university students. Seriously, it's difficult enough as it is, without having to make accommodations for Jeopardy!
There shouldn't be a College Championship of any sort in 2020-2021.
