Re: TD 453 - Quiz Bowl [Final results]
I am amazed! Played in two recent TDs after a long hiatus and really tanked, and pretty much expected the same for this one.
Thanks for hosting!

Re: TD 453 - Quiz Bowl [Final results]
My lack of Pac-12 knowledge paid off. In looking at the correct answers, a few ring a bell, but I couldn't come up with any of them. I might have said Berkeley if I had remembered that Cal was in the Pac-12. I might have said Stanford if I'd thought about it more; Wikipedia says Stanford, CA, is the location of Stanford, but it also identifies it as an unincorporated area adjacent to the city of Palo Alto. Not sure how it would've been scored based on the wording of the question. In any event, I gave the obvious answer of Los Angeles and got a singleton.
Thanks for the TD.

Re: TD 453 - Quiz Bowl [Final results]
Wow. Maybe my best finish ever. After getting dinged for a wrong answer on number three (due to not following the NBA pretty much since the ABA merger), I figured I would be looking for marmalade because I was toast.
Thanks for fun and interesting TD!

Tropicana Field was also the home of the Tampa Bay Lightning from 1993-1996, when the stadium was known as ThunderDome: https://www.nhl.com/news/tampa-bay-ligh ... -289030922clt013 wrote: ↑Fri Oct 23, 2020 7:46 am
