Not an obit or article, but just saw that ABC is airing "Alex Trebek Remembered" tonight at 10 Eastern.

Re: Trebek Obits and Appreciation Articles
Wow. It's going to be a while before I can read these. I'm finding I even have to skim our own obit thread here on the JBoard. It's just too much right now. I'm glad I know where to find these links, because I know I'll want to read them later. Thanks, all.

Re: Trebek Obits and Appreciation Articles
The front-page obituary from the L.A. Times (with editing that makes it sound like the "answer-and-question" format of J! was new for the 1984 revival): Alex Trebek, "Jeopardy!" host and trivia master, dies at 80
Appreciation by L.A. Times TV critic Robert Lloyd: The irreplaceable Alex Trebek made "Jeopardy!" a sane place in a mad world

That had to be very difficult to do in fighting back tears.

I'm booked to go on one of my old CBC shows I used to help produce this afternoon to talk about this. If I keep it together I will be shocked.

Re: Trebek Obits and Appreciation Articles
Me too. I'm a man who doesn't tend to get too emotional. I had a few moments before my last class of the day and checked the JBoard and saw the link to the opening...and started crying when it got to the end. That left me about 5 minutes to get myself together before teaching my class...and still had a few tears in my eyes when I walked into the classroom. Sort of wish I hadn't watched that at work and had waited until I got home.zakharov wrote: ↑Mon Nov 09, 2020 1:10 pmMan I was doing ok until he said "this is Jeopardy."
