Are you sure? Holey Moley ran late in the East because it was interrupted by the President's speech. Then The Chase played in its entirety. Of course, the ending would still be cut off on your recording.
Yes, I'm sure. The recording started at the beginning of the show. Just to be sure, I ran the recording up to the :45 minute mark and it was still Holey Moley.

That's odd. Where I am, Holey Moley played until 9:19 then The Chase started about 20 minutes late, but from the beginning and ran in its entirety.

How long does the non-compete last? One contestant I'd like to see on J! is the librarian from Asheville who competed solo in the Final Chase against James last season.

I believe it's 1 year from airdate.

Playa from ANDES!!!

Vax word of the year showed up on tonight's episode.

John Beck mentioned losing to Brad in the UToC. They considered the higher offer, “Rutter Money”. Had he taken the offer, he would have been caught.

One of the questions in the Final Chase: A good place to SCUBA, what Caribbean island nation rhymes with SCUBA?

The first thing that came to my mind was Cuba which isn’t wrong. It is a Caribbean island nation that rhymes with SCUBA. The intended answer was Aruba.

Disappointed Buzzy missed “The Scream” question. However, I actually worked it out the hard way by knowing it was stolen in 1994 and working out what nation hosted that year.

Also, I heard Sara clearly say Bubbles instead of Buggles asking the "Video Killed the Radio Star" question.

Triple J! alums again. The Stunner should have been able to figure the didgeridoo wood. I instantly recognized watchandwait when the show began and in matching Buzzy for being all three of nerd, geek and dork, I remembered before it was mentioned that John played Brad in the UTOC 2nd round.

Tonight's episode had the husband of a J! alum. He said she won $44,000.

Mr. Potato Head was a bad miss for Victoria.

Seema was on as well: https://j-archive.com/showplayer.php?player_id=12999

I don't see a hit for John Sims in the archive.

Two notable J! alums on tonight's episode. Any hits in the archive for Anu?

As noted by Brandon on Twitter, Anu won the Teen Tournament the year Brandon himself was also in that field.

Not many people can say they've lost four times on Jeopardy!.

Oh my. Anu is Anurag Kashyap. I take it back. THREE notable J! alums tonight. :o

Only saw a glimpse of the episode and immediately recognized Leslie and Liz. Anu of course is much older now and going by a nickname now.

Will watch full episode later tonight.

Did not expect James to miss Stendhal Syndrome.

Also surprised James missed BASE Jumping, but I believe Ken missed BASE Jumping once as well in I think “Best Ever Trivia Show”.

James did not boo after saying Green Bay Packers this time.

Mark Barrett, please update Leslie, Liz, and Anurag's J! player pages. Even though they lost, they all made it to the Final Chase with a big prize pot and were narrowly defeated by James.

EDIT: Looks like none of the J! Alums who have been on The Chase this season have the line on their bios.

Jessica was easy to recognize instantly since she played four games while Shawn looked familiar enough that I suspected he had been on J! as well. No hit for Yael McCue on J! that I could find.

Shawn having a box of J! games on VHS is intriguing though probably after 1996? So no biggie? Also, what are the odds he still has them, anyway?

She wasn't brought back on her team's behalf after all three players were caught; she won as sole survivor.
