Ken (or is it the judges with Alex gone?) are letting responses slide that will generate comments to the negative. Just Khan? Ken provides the first name. Song title wanted? Go ahead and give the actress's full name instead. I get why it happens though I can see the other side of wanting Ken to be a little tougher on the players as well.

If you go on The Amazing Race you might want to learn how to swim and definitely know how to drive stick.

If you go on J! there are some narrow areas of study that should be mandatory since they are easy to learn, come up a lot, and can pay dividends. You gotta show up and know the Ancient Wonders. Donesh cost himself a lot of money.

Business & Travel are not two of my favorite or best subjects. While I got the FJ! clue correct I spelled out the second part of the correct response.

Brian went for a laugh with his FJ! response and got a dig in on Ken. The host handled it as well as he could, but it would have been better on Brian's part if he had a zero wager. It's not as funny when 3799 is kissed goodbye. Players get 30 seconds to solve the FJ! clue. Even if you are stumped on the first go-around, keep thinking. Perhaps Brian could have figured it out with better concentration?

Brian was good with the number of correct responses and Coryat while 1/3 on betting clues is troubling.

What was in the air today with too many near phrasing lapses? It's been part of the show for too long to see that many stumbles on phraseology.

Although I got the FJ! question, I don't see how anything in the answer prevents it from being a pure coin flip. I'd be interested to see if the correct and incorrect responses poll roughly equal.

Finally done: http://www.j-archive.com/showgame.php?game_id=6913

Ugh! More than a dozen media clues and some of them double images.

It shows that the boards can be cleared as the game also featured a lot of category jumping.

I didn’t have a problem with taking the full name of the woman in the song as I can understand a player saying it. Kahn should have been BMSed but whatever. If anyone fully understands the BMS policy you are smarter than me.

I wouldn’t have tossed out $7,598 just for a joke.

I started with Dollar Rent-a-Car but I couldn’t imagine a $1 a day car rental, even in 1962. Nightly rate led me to hotels so I checked in with the right company. I then thought about Super 8 but Motel 6 is better known so that was it.

runs: Shameless, Testing,
Daily Doubles: :D (total WAG) :D :D
trash: Caligula (how?), sleeves DD, Light in August, Mausoleum DD,
FJ: thought of rent-a-cars at first, got to Motel 6.
Nice trolling by Brian. ;)
Was hoping for a Shatneresque "Who is Khaaaaaaaaan!"

I had to consider Days Inn for a second. When they were founded in Georgia in 1970, they advertised the $8 rate on the sign in the rising sun above the name. Riding past many of these on the way to FL as a kid, I thought the original name was “8 Days Inn”.

For an old photo of the sign, see here. https://lodgingmagazine.com/birth-of-a ... -days-inn/

I travel for my job. I avoid Days Inn, Motel 6, and Super 8 like the plague.

Coryat $41,600 (49R, 2W)
DD 2/3
FJ

No idea on DD1. Wouldn't have wagered more than $100 on a fashion DD though, so no harm, no foul. Negged with omega for beta... my brain went "Greek letter + last = ??". Forehead slap upon reveal.

Like Bamaman, for FJ, had to guess between Motel 6 and Super 8. Guessed correctly, but my logic was merely "which one have I heard mentioned on Jeopardy! more often?" Turns out the 8 was from $8.88, so the rate wasn't actually in the name. Good to know.

Yep. It's not like Khan is his last name.

I didn't know that the 6 was the price, but Motel 6 was the only thing I could come up with.

I thought the H&R Block answer was obnoxious and disrespectful, both of Ken and his fellow competitors.

Agree about Roseanna and Khan... that daily double! Omg.

Thanks for saving me the google search LOL, I was just about to look that up myself. Another Motel 6 response here without a ton of confidence, also considered Super 8 toward the end of the think music.

Pretty sure the only reason they showed a picture of Hermann Rorschach is because he is Brad Pitt's döppelgänger. If anyone got that clue based on the photo alone, please feel free to correct me...
