Some viewers see the champ's winning total and immediately delete the game from their recording devices. Today that would be a mistake:
Spoiler
Matt did better on his previous game show appearance winning $173K with his dad on Beat Shazam and pops maintains bragging rights since he won on J! in 2000.

Morgan is winning the hard way with two wins from second place saved by sole solving the FJ! clue.

The FJ! round is the place to take a guess. The gentlemen did and were wrong. I did and was right even though I had no real knowledge about it. The clue seemed to be hinting at a long run for the musical and that narrowed the options.

John Houseman and Smith Barney a bottom row clue and a TS? Man do I feel old.

Alien and ___ Acts as a bottom row clue? That's just poor placement in my opinion. Of course those kiddos who don't know Houseman will also claim that since they weren't alive for the acts that it's not fair.

If you're in Morgan's position and playing for the TS as she did, which wager do you like better, $801 or $4599?

I fluked myself into getting this FJ right. For some reason the words "title role" came to mind although neither the category or clue suggested it. With that logic I ended up going with the right response.

Same here. I even laughed at the Oklahoma response as nobody was playing Oklahoma.

Music Man was my first thought but switched to Phantom in time as I knew it ran a long time.

Liked the Sting song at the end.

Is it just in Michigan, or is sports betting everywhere all of a sudden? I swear I see at least one ad for it in every single commercial break anymore.

Katie seems to be a bit more engaged in the gameplay and strategy this week.

Ran Medical Idioms and surprisingly, Acts of Congress.

However, I didn't recognize any of those slogans whatsoever.

No guess on FJ!, but I know that one of my coworkers is a huge Phantom of the Opera fan, so I think they would have gotten it.

Haven’t the judges negged “Singing in the Rain” in the past? It sounded to me like she added the “g,” but my CC had the correct spelling.

Yes, but the CC also thought "William McConqueror" was the answer to DD1...

(Seriously, why has the CC quality taken such a nosedive lately? I notice it on Wheel too.)

Not just you, laws loosened on it recently and teams/league are leaning way in. As a sports fan with zero interest in betting it annoys me.

I am once again begging Jeopardy to use subtitles for celebrity categories, especially when they're reading clues over a lousy Zoom connection. I could barely understand the man. And come on Sting, you're on TV and you're rich, get some decent lighting for your living room.

Ditto on the sports betting. All over the Denver stations as well.
Whenever they have someone reading clues, I have the archive cued up so I can read along.

I agree Sting needed captions. Several things combined to make it a tough category to understand. The poor audio, his accent, and the fact I don’t think he was speaking that loudly to begin with. (I have never heard him speak so I don’t know if he is normally soft spoken). Also, reading off a teleprompter isn’t something he normally does, unlike the Atlanta newspeople.

But I did enjoy his song at the end.

Couric AND Stink on the same episode? What fresh hell is this? I will admit that his song at the end was cute. William McConqueror? That’s what I get for watching too closely.

He'd be easier to understand if the cameraman wouldn't stand so close to him.
