For the credits brigade: Extended roll today

The game seemed to go so fast that there was a strange shot of AR & and the players after the reveal of the FJ! category before going to break.

WHAT IS YOUR "MAJOR"? & MALFUNCTION as the last two categories of the DJ! round reminded me of this:

The players had some trouble with a couple of "P-E" responses in being stumped by the bird and the tea.

Patrick lost $3K on DD2, so I had no expectation of him doing something like $6800 on DD3 to attempt the runaway. Patrick won the game in the FJ! round which is always fine as well.

I matched Patrick for a quick solve of the FJ! clue since it was fortunately something I knew and during think time I anticipated seeing the popular incorrect response that showed up twice from the contestants who guessed wrong.

Well, you can't dispute it based on the length criterion, but I'd be curious what people think about the 'most filmed' part.

Welll... They asked about the one and only thing I know for certain about ShakesCrap (the longest-play fact, not the most-filmed fact). I was amazed anyone missed it.

A quick count on wiki shows 30 adaptations of Hamlet.

I pondered it and Othello, but picked the correct one.

I’d seen the “Shakespeare’s longest play” question not so long ago, maybe a Chase rerun?, which made this an instaget.

Swing and a miss with R&J. I had no idea there were any film versions of Hamlet.

Why do I even bother anymore?

Shakespeare's longest play being Hamlet(and its the longest by far) should be J! Pavlov for any prospective contestant. The fact that this went 1/3 is mind-boggling.

Poll request: If you got the FJ tonight, did you get it from "Shakespeare's Longest Play" or "filmed the most" ?

Both, I guess? The combination made Hamlet the most plausible response. I did consider R&J for "filmed the most" but I knew Hamlet was a lot longer. Macbeth's quite sort, by the way--less than 60% the length of Hamlet and less than 75% the length of Romeo and Juliet. It's Shakespeare's shortest tragedy, though not his shortest play. That would be the Comedy of Errors.

We need a like button!!!!

As Dbear wrote above, I had to decide between Hamlet & MacBeth. R&J wasn’t even on my radar, no pun intended. Patrick was mostly in control of this game. When Kari stated she had 7 students, it sounded like she had her kids plus some others. My favorite Hamlet is from the late 60’s with Nicol Williamson & Marianne Faithfull.

Well, we all know how it goes with Wikipedia. It wasn't this page, was it (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_W ... daptations)? That list includes the Lion King (both versions) under Hamlet.

Does 'filmed the most' mean just movies released initially in theaters, and not TV? If so, does this exclude movies that weren't actually filmed (or does filmed include computer animation printed to film?). What about versions that are filmed recorded as a play-within-a-movie/TV show?

The only possible correct answer to the question as written is Hamlet, but the second half of that question is sloppppppy.
