Did not get poison ivy as I did not realize in time I was seeing something with a poison plant name origin.

The Adam West series was the most helpful to me for getting 4/5.

I'd say movies were more important, in those were my first introduction with Joker, Penguin, Scarecrow and Poison Ivy. (Later, watching the animated shows cemented them)

Adam West show was the only way I was familiar with Egghead

Couldn't decide on a box to check for what was most helpful. The comic books were least helpful. I may have flipped through one at some point, but that's it. Here's how I knew them:

TV Show: Joker, Penguin, Egghead (no Poison Ivy or Scarecrow)
Movies: Joker, Penguin, Poison Ivy (no Egghead or Scarecrow)
Video Games (Arkham Asylam and Arkham City): Joker, Poison Ivy, Scarecrow (no Penguin or Egghead)

So all three had Joker, two had Penguin, and two had Poison Ivy. Wouldn't have gotten Egghead without the TV show. Wouldn't have gotten Scarecrow without the video games.

Unsure if this means you didn't watch the Nolan Trilogy or didn't realize Cillian Murphy was Scarecrow in the first two?
(He also appears in Rises, but only as Crane.)

Watched very little Batman, played a bit of LEGO Batman many years ago. Never heard of Scarecrow or Egghead, but easy clues nonetheless.

Would have gotten all the clues even without the Batman villain hint.

Arkham City definitely had Penguin. No mention of Adelie penguins though.

I put video games for the poll but it didn't actually provide any extra help. Joker/Scarecrow/Poison Ivy were familiar to me from the movies or from the animated series long before I played the games. Learned about Man-Bat, Firefly, Black Mask, Calendar Man, Killer Croc, Hush, Deadshot, Clayface, Mad Hatter, and Hugo Strange from the games.
I had a dream that I was asleep and then I woke up and Jeopardy! was on.

I did see the first two of the Nolan Trilogy. Now that you bring it up, I vaguely recall knowing he was Scarecrow. But I can't recall if he had any big Scarecrow-ey scenes? My memory is really cloudy on that point and every time I try to zero in on that character I get confused and disoriented.

Anyway, for me the Nolan movies were no help in identifying Scarecrow and unnecessary for any other character. Sure, I could've gotten Joker off the Nolan movies, but that was hardly my only way in. And I don't think Egghead or Penguin or Poison Ivy showed up in the first two Nolan movies. If they did, I forgot them as well. So Nolan doesn't even get credited with an assist.

I'll take your word for it. I played Arkham Asylum all the way through, but got frustrated with City after a bit. Even 8 years ago I was too old to play a game that required actual skilz. Since then I've stuck to Elder Scrolls games. Maybe I saw Penguin in Arkham City and forgot about him or maybe I didn't get to that part.

I went with "TV Show most helpful" because without it, I don't get Egghead. The other 4 overlap between all categories for me.

All but Egghead, whom I've never heard of.

My knowledge of Bat-foes is largely limited to those who appeared in the Burton/Schumacher series and Nolanverse, plus Harley Quinn. Looking over a list, I recognize the names Clayface and Killer Croc, and there are a bunch that Arrow appropriated.
Oh, what has science wrought? I sought only to turn a man into a metal-encased juggernaut of destruction powered by the unknown properties of a mysterious living crystal. How could this have all gone wrong?

The Adam West TV series got me Egghead (given that that's the only Batman iteration where the character has really been showcased) while the '90s animated series helped with Scarecrow and Poison Ivy.

I couldn't check any of the last four boxes because, while I've seen most of the movies and have recently been refreshing myself on the Adam West show (that man was really unjustly handsome in his early years), most of what I know about the caped crusader comes from the the '90s animated series, which, to me, is the canonical Batman. Egghead didn't appear in that show (he was a creation of the West series, to have someone Vincent Price could play) but it was easy enough to guess based on the clue. WECIB?

If the West incarnation isn't campy enough for you, you'll be a fan of the animated show The New Adventures of Batman which featured West and Ward reprising their roles.

5/5. I think I got Egghead (the only one I didn't know as a Batman villain) just before the contestant did, too late to have rung in on it, but I'm counting it here.

Got them all and voted for both the Adam West show and comic books. Wouldn't have got Egghead without the former nor Poison Ivy and Scarecrow without the latter.

Very often, an incident in childhood suggests the sort of person that child will be when he has grown up. Such was the case with Jonathan Crane. As a small boy, Jonathan Crane liked to frighten birds!

No way I would have come up with Egghead were it not for Vincent Price's work on the Adam West series. He was eggs-traordinary!

None of the Batman stuff was helpful for me, got them all from the other context.
