Wed - (blank, I couldn't come up with anything -wrong- to even put down)
Thu - Urgell was all I needed
Fri - James I

Clammed on the islands, though Philippines would've been my DD guess
Baa, baa...

Henry VIII, Philippines. Not only was the bishop of Urgell all I needed, having the rest of the clue without him probably wouldn't have been enough. Baa, baa for me, and I would have deliberately listed the words instead of quoting them: "What are baa, baa, black, and sheep?"

Ooh, sorry, 'and' isn't part of the line. ;)

No guesses Tuesday or Wednesday, Liechtenstein Thursday.
No guess on the islands, said Liffey.

Gulag Archipelago was completely unfamiliar.
Looking at the track list for Rumours, I know "The Chain" and would eventually recognize "Don't Stop," "Go Your Own Way," and maybe "Dreams."
Bishop of Urgell meant nothing to me. Never been to Andorra.
Said James VI.
"Baa, baa."
Oh, what has science wrought? I sought only to turn a man into a metal-encased juggernaut of destruction powered by the unknown properties of a mysterious living crystal. How could this have all gone wrong?

Luxembourg Thursday. Bishop of Urgell sounded vaguely Germanic to me.
Philippines for the islands
Have owned a Rumours CD
Went with James I of England
Baa Baa Black Sheep. NHO the alternate.
Read at least part of Gulag Archipelago a long time ago

My parents had a copy of Rumours when I was a kid, so I've probably heard it in its entirety a few times.

Said "Baa, baa, black sheep"
I would prefer not to.

I got Quemoy from listening to the 1960 Nixon-Kennedy debate.

I knew the bishop of some place was one of the co-princes, but didn't remember Urgell. Everything in the clue helped a little bit.

Bah to "black sheep, black sheep". Will they accept "Pumpkin eater, pumpkin eater" next? I remember the existence of the TV show, but nothing else about it. I could tell you more about Happy Days and Laverne & Shirley.

Rumours was my sister's, but I had most of the benefits of ownership.

Haven't read Gulag or One Day in the Life, or....

The Liffey is useful to know if they ask for Dublin's river. Otherwise, you might be better off not knowing.

"James I of England", though Jimmy Stewart was tempting.

I had Horace Greeley spoiled but honestly there is no way I would have missed it. Other than that, I only pulled Rumours. One of my best Coryat weeks, but a terrible FJ week for me.

Knew nothing about Andorra other than it's small and in the Pyrenees...
I used to know Quemoy and Matsu, but it's been too long since I've heard it and I jumped at the Quemoy-Quezon similarity...
James I, since it's in that role that he "may have been" in Shakespeare's audience...

Finally got all 8!! I’ve crossed the Shannon AND the Liffey. I almost went for Philippines but I corrected it before the contestant’s incorrect response. James VI & Black Sheep for me. I should’ve been in Andorra last April but the invasive virus killed that.

Greeley was pretty quick (I live about 35 miles from the eponymous town)
Have read Gulag Archipelago. Quite a slog.
No on Rumours
Lichtenstein, Urgell or no Urgell
James VI

James Jones made it 98%, but I would have had 75% confidence about From Here to Eternity based only on "novel set in Hawaii just before Pearl Harbor."
Quemoy & Matsu = China/Taiwan conflict
Have crossed the Liffey, but the Shannon? That's beyond the pale.
Baa, Baa. Not familiar with the "Black sheep, black sheep" variant.
I'm not the defending Jeopardy! champion. But I have played one on TV.

I'm very surprised at the Greeley clue running the easiest out of all the FJ this week.
