Welp, I just stumbled backasswards into a lock for A rundle next season. I win, 7 to 6 with one less right AND one of my closest threats forfeits giving me a three point buffer away from the red zone instead of two. (Not like I deserved the freebie...this dip here *points to self* thought it was alligators that were native to France  )

So, chin up Diamondbacks fans! It could happen to you too! (Statistically, it has to, right?)
The best thing that Neil Armstrong ever did, was to let us all imagine we were him.
Latest movies (1-10): Everything Everywhere All at Once (10), Ruby Gillman: Teenage Kraken (6), Black Sunday /1960/ (6), Marcel the Shell with Shoes On (7)

I surrendered what I believe is my first ever 9(5) day. In my defense, my opponent’s third best category is film and they missed Segal.

That drops me to sixth with the top four moving to C. First is locked in and a three way tie for second one point ahead. I am actually tied for fifth but they have a huge MPD advantage, as do the other three. None of them face each other so I need two of them to lose while I win.

I’m not big on stats, but I’ve been playing since LL72 and I’ve never broken 100 TCA. Currently sitting at 98 TCA with one match day to go. I’ve already beaten my previous record of 96 TCA from (checks notes) LL 86, 87 and 88!

Yeah, one of these seasons I will. My record is 97. I have 89 this season, so no hope for me. Good luck Monday!

A quick Ctrl+F of your Past Seasons page shows five previous Dollys surrendered, beginning with MD25 of LL59.
Woof wrote: Thu Jun 17, 2021 9:01 pmIt’s a jboard trifecta of bomtr, me and Reddpen atop A Continental but slam lurks in 4th and might move higher after his match with me today.
StevenH wrote: Fri Jun 18, 2021 6:52 amAnd that is awesome! It's great to see you guys at the top like that.
After yesterday's win I've got third place locked up and could not be more pleased. While this stuff might be old hat for Woof and bomtr, this will be my first-ever appearance in the Championship. Only took me 40 seasons. Keep chasing those dreams, kids--it can happen for you too!

Props also to HBomb, who after spending the first 17 MDs of LL89 in last place has now--barring a forfeit of course--cleared the relegation zone with a stellar 4-1-2 run in his past seven matches, in stark contrast to my 2-5-0 over the same stretch.
In and out of the pool four times

I managed a win yesterday, but damn René Lacoste and his "alligator shirts" which are actually (apparently) "crocodile shirts."

I got crocodile but asked 5 random friends what animal is on the Lacoste shirts and they all said alligator

I literally entered crocodile into the box, then convinced myself it was alligator.

I also said alligator, as I'm sure many did. Otherwise, what was "save the alligator, eat a preppie" about?

Surprisingly, only 10% said alligator. Would have thought that would be higher.

Me, too, considering 49% said crocodile. Heck, questions about current tennis players tend to play tough, I'm not exactly sure how so many people knew Lacoste's nickname--a guy who played back in the '20s!

I did think about this question for a while, because there was something telling me his nickname was actually "The Crocodile," but the "alligator shirt" association just seemed too strong to go against.

I've broken 100 TCA twice: 102 and 104. This season I'll finish in the low- to mid-90's.
Quarterrican and I were near the relegation zone as of our matchup yesterday. I knew I had to win the final two games and hope he and the other person above me lost those two. Well, he forfeited for the first time ever, but the other person above me won, so now quarterrican and I are both getting relegated. :(
Hoping for a third lap

Alligator just didn't feel very French to me. More American. That, and the affinity the French had for all things Egyptian was enough to push me to crocodile over alligator for a French player.

Huh. In your 1D history, it now shows if you broke into the top 50%, not just 5, 10 and 20
(if you get a label for being higher than 5%, I wouldn't, personally, know )

Champion is the only higher label.

If you exclude Runner-up.

Ah, OK. Don't have one of those, so I didn't know it existed.

My very first Sandra! An .857 DE, which is 150 points over my average with only 10 UfPA. 'Twas a very good season.
