Manifest Destiny
Jackie Kennedy
No guess on the horse work although I should have known it by now
Luke Skywalker even though I’ve seen all the Toy Story movies
Dickens

I do not care about the Daily Double 1,000/2,000 amounts stated by the host as I’m fine with the host announcing it and fine with it not happening. The players can do their True DD moment even if they forget they could bet more.

The players are advised of many game rules before the show. If someone remembers better than another then so be it although I do understand some don’t know/recall the rule and the helpful host hint is a nice reminder.

I can remember awkward times when a player would say a wager and then Alex would do the reminder leading to time wasted to straighten out the intended wager. The host needs to get in the pointer right after the DD is uncovered.

Another way for J! viewers to look at it is with a WoF lens. Not that I’ve ever tried out for the show, but if I was on it I do not know all the nuances of the game. Anything that Pat added to help me not make a fool of myself would be welcome.

Seen the first two Toy Storys.
I like the reminders of maximum DD bets for players with low scores.

Tue - Jackie Onassis
Wed - (nothing, despite seeing all four)
Fri - Verne

I don't have a preference regarding what the host does, per se, I just don't see a need for it. I'll be fine if the new normal is not reminding the contestants on camera (and they could always edit an insert in after the fact if clarity demands it, I imagine). I just don't grok the want for it.
The best thing that Neil Armstrong ever did, was to let us all imagine we were him.
Latest movies (1-10): Everything Everywhere All at Once (10), Ruby Gillman: Teenage Kraken (6), Black Sunday /1960/ (6), Marcel the Shell with Shoes On (7)

Surprised only 80% of boardies have gotten the Tuvalu clue. We are jboard.tv, after all.

Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis

Have seen 2 or 3 Toy Story movies, didn’t help. Might have gotten this if “animated” were in the clue or category.

Should have known better Friday due to the use of “European”, but the Brit sounding quote led me to English mystery writers and thought it might be one of Christie’s first novels.

No opinion on the wager amounts

I think I saw the first Toy Story at someone's house. More importantly, I remember Buzz inspiring someone's nom de guerre.

Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy Onassis.

After long and deep consideration, I have no particular opinion or preference regarding DD explanations.
I'm smart and I want respect.

 ;)

Should have gotten the horse title - love the movie! - but I wagged My Friend Flicka instead...
J. Kennedy Onassis, though I feared getting the s's in the wrong place...
Saw Toy Story 4 just recently to complete the set, never thought about animated movies...
If the hosts are gonna be helpful, how about wagering advice before FJ? It's needed more... ;)

Answered Jacqueline Onassis.
Guessed Arthur Conan Doyle to have something.
I prefer that the 1K/2K bet option be mentioned.

Thanks and fixed. I'll take that error over doing "weak".

I don't care either way about the bet reminder, but for the sake of fairness it should be handled consistently.

It hurts to miss out on a 5/5 due to missing a clue in a wheelhouse category, but I was nowhere near the right response. WAGed Moonraker. Didn't even think of animated films.

Jackie Kennedy for Tuesday. I've read the Kafka story before but didn't remember the line, but stuck with it because I couldn't think of anything better.

It always seemed a bit strange to me to remind players about their betting capabilities on DDs since I would assume that they already know the rules. But I don't care if it stays or goes. There's usually a remark made about the contestant's score before they place their wagers anyway and I'm fine with a quick refresher if their score is low.

No guess on the misses. Could have gotten the Buzz Lightyear one had I even considered animated movies.

I've encountered .tv domain names prior to this website and actually met someone from Tuvalu when I was young, so that was a can't miss.

I think the "you can risk up to $1,000/$2,000" nudges are fine.

Was 100% certain it was Christie because I've read Doyle (and thus knew that wasn't it)
I might have seen one of the toy story movies when I was little, but I got the clue from just knowing that trivia straight up.

Ha ha. Goo point! I would have expected it to poll well into the 90s, too.

I'm beginning to be afraid that lots of people have me on "ignore". I made this very point (albeit subtly) in the thread for that game. :)

I put off posting last week, then forgot about it, so sorry for the bump. I had laissez faire on the 14th, Mexican-American War for the battle rather than Spanish-American, and no guess for the Black Stallion.
