Full credits alert.

Matt went for 15 large on DD3 and got burned when often in such situations he has bet lower. 36200 to 2000 to 1600 leaves room for the big bet and Matt is going to hear about his miss from those he is in contact with through school.

Melissa can't get her photo on the website though she took advantage of John missing DD2 to earn the 2nd place spot.

I mostly matched the players for the FJ! clue except I added the first name. At first, in having the royals in the news for childbirth in mind, I botched the first name and had to correct it.

Matt's wager got him back to his starting point at DD3.

25 in a row. Quite the achievement.

The Archive is current: https://www.j-archive.com/showgame.php?game_id=7148

Was it really necessary to accept Matt's western mountain range name by giving it a longer name?

Blah blah rabbit. Instaget.

Odd that we've had two in a row about rabbits.

Mayim is great. If it's her and Ken from here on out, then so be it.

I went straight to Potter, but I was thinking that Louise Fitzhugh's "Harriet the Spy" could've made a comment like that. She was somewhat obsessed with tomato sandwiches, but I don't remember whether lettuce ever entered into it.

Little known fact: immediately prior to his departure as EP, Mike Richards replaced all the writers with rabbits. On his way out the door, he was mumbling something incoherent about "bunny money."

Anybody else nostalgic for the Mike Richards era when they used to display the category onscreen along with the Final Jeopardy clue?

Well, absolutely dominant performance by Matt, marred only by his inexplicable brain cramp on DD3. And that is followed by a Kids Week FJ? I predict it polls above 90%

So very, very close to a perfect 30R SJ for me today. My only miss: saying just "Russian" instead of "Black Russian". Would I have made the correct addition if given a BMS? I couldn't say for sure and can't in good conscience give myself the perfecto for the round.

And then came the NEW TO THE OED category... I can honestly say I have NHO gig economy, doxing, or virtue signaling. I was at least able to salvage both missed DDs in the round.

As others have mentioned: pure Kids' Week FJ. I gave the briefest of pauses for Margery Williams, but never considered switching to her.

I didn't notice the absence of the extra box tonight, but, yes, it would have helped me tonight. (So would a better attention span, or at least 16 bytes of personal RAM.) I guessed Beatrix Potter of course, but didn't know she was a British author. It turns out the category was "Children's Books", so I still don't have to know either way.

This may poll at 90% here, but is not that easy for the viewer. Bea Potter was not in my database as an adult. I don't even think I have ever seen any Peter Rabbit material growing up. I do remember reading Uncle Remus and Brer Rabbit stories as a child. I DID get the FJ easily because I've been on this board for four years and Potter must have come up six times already. It would be a see and forget answer before I joined the board.

Mayim did a fine job, even going through the cringeworthy (but necessary) explanation of the top secret code. She also managed to restrain from tooting her horn about her neuroscientist chops during the "Cell Biology(?)" category.

Matt lost a big chunk because as the leader, he wasn't betting house money, or leaving it "on the table" . I NHO the prize, but Pavlov'd to Turing.

The "bootheel" state in the desert was a funny train wreck. I didn't know the New Mexico protrusion was also called a bootheel. I do associate it with the Gadsden purchase. We don't have a desert in our bootheel, but you might get shook if the New Madrid fault gives us another 8.0 earthquake.

50R. 4/4 on big clues. Real strong game for me. There were a couple in the PENNY ANTE category that I didn't actually get because the category wasn't in front of me but I'm sure I would have gotten them so I counted them.

Missed defund and said divest. Missed Spingarn and said Springarn.

Some clues that I missed that I want to get next time are orange roughy, Beefeater's, Jupiter Symphony, Shrek, and gig economy.

Also J6 spoiler:
Spoiler
I missed Caldecott for the award given to the illustrator of Children's literature and said Newberry. I should get that right next time.
Only went 1/5 on the OED category but I'm completely familiar with all those terms, although the definition for defund seemed odd. Not sure why I couldn't pull them.

I was surprised Matt wagered $15,000 I was sure he would bet $2,000.

It seems like there is a lack of fashion categories during Matt's run. Seems like I haven't been vexed by those recently.
