Martha's Vineyard. Never been to New York. Figured Hamilton was one of the people in the clue but had no idea where he's buried.

Punic Wars.

Seen Dr. No, never considered "shaken, not stirred" except as possible negbait.
Oh, what has science wrought? I sought only to turn a man into a metal-encased juggernaut of destruction powered by the unknown properties of a mysterious living crystal. How could this have all gone wrong?

Thu - Punic Wars

Certain I would've gotten HRE, but was running a little slower than the contestant

Was supposed to be in Manhattan about a year and a half ago and Trinity is on the list... :(

Have and have seen Dr No.

I thought "Punic Wars" the safest answer, notwithstanding that the clue clearly asks for a singular response.

"Bond. James Bond" came to me at once, and I think I'd have picked it even if I had thought of both. If I'd thought of the other first, it might depend on how energetic I felt.

I've visited Trinity churchyard. It was after midnight one night, so I climbed the fence. In those days, the Wall Street area after hours was as dead as the churchyard, and pre-9/11 also helped. Anyway, I found Hamilton and Fulton, but don't think I was even on the lookout for Gallatin.
I'm smart and I want respect.

Depends. In NYC, yeah, your sunset is 4:30-ish, but here in central FL, our sunset is 35 minutes later than Mark's in San Francisco (which is about 4:55).

Actually, what I really should say is that early sunsets happen in every time zone and the further north and east you are in the zone, the earlier it is.

Never been to NYC, never heard of Trinity Church, knew at some level that Manhattan is an island.

Never seen Dr. No, didn't think of "shaken not stirred".

I thought "Scarborough Fair" was a traditional song, but then the clue told me it was a Simon and Garfunkel song, and then I looked it up and it's just a poorly written clue.

I said Punic War, singular, with some trepidation because I knew there had been more than one, but I wasn't willing to attempt anything more specific.

IBM flew me out to New York 11 years ago to play against Watson. In planning my trip with someone at IBM, I found my options once I landed in New York, as someone who didn't drive yet, were either to take a cab (or other car service) from JFK to the Mount Kisco Holiday Inn, or public transportation. The latter was the cheapest and I was up for a small adventure, so that's what I did. I took a shuttle from the airport to Grand Central Station, bought a ticket to Mount Kisco, rode a train, and walked about a mile to Holiday Inn (all following stuff I had written down or printed; I was still a few weeks away from getting my first phone). Outside of the airport I probably took less than 200 steps in Manhattan, and it's probably less than 50 if you only count the actual streets (as I walked from the shuttle to Grand Central), but it counts.

Yeah, but it's Eastern Time, so it's actually almost 2 1/2 hours earlier!

Seems like the kind of thing I would have mentioned previously here. How about never slept outside of California? The only other state I've been to is the Nevada side of Lake Tahoe? Some place like Bakersfield on 5 could be as east as I've been? Or perhaps Anaheim is more eastern? No joke, just me.

Well, gee, I think it's time. Maybe you can ease into it and spend the night in Oregon or something!
