That fourth game was definitely one of those S1 classics. Wild guesses, random applause, and sidebar comments from Alex.

At 1:16:24 of the video, Alex reads a clue containing a slur that nowadays is typically bleeped on network TV. The contestant begins his answer with "How 'bout" (rather than "Who is") and is credited.

Even in a John Mulaney routine?

I added 2/5/87: https://www.j-archive.com/showgame.php?game_id=7044

That completes the run of Joel Nathanson.

I know there are more available old games from this thread not in the archive. No promises when I might get another one in.

Are you sure the second word in DJ3 is supposed to be plural? There was only one person in the correct response.

Gaze upon the wonder that is the punctuation near the end of this clue:

Image

Also of note, the contestant was prompted when giving just the actress's last name. Is there another actress or actor with that name she might be confused for? I suppose it's probably for the "tea" pun.

And another game from India's tapes is finished, December 12, 1991, Ron Brashear vs. Jay Marhoeffer vs. Glenn Gillis.

Not a whole lot to say. I did like the connection between ACTRESSES for $800 and FICTIONAL CHARACTERS for $800 in the DJ! round.

Clue of the game will be 19th CENTURY AMERICA for $1000, the Daily Double.
It was caused by the collapse of a dam on the Conemaugh River May 31, 1889
Spoiler
What is the Johnstown Flood?

I knew it wasn't Jonestown, but I couldn't quite get to the right word. I got stuck on Jamestown, which I knew wasn't right either.
Very close match, tough loss for Ron, who led through much of the game.

Nope, just a missing strikethrough tag.

Perhaps it could be noted that this was the first episode after Barbara Lowe's run, or on Clint's page that he was the first champion after she was retired?

Well, after over a year since my archive.org site was shut down I thought I could return to uploading more games to add to the archive in maybe a bit more cautious way. I've decided to go back to using DM for now, but to let the episodes be unlisted and to only be accessed with a password -- and to keep the eps on there for only a limited time.

When I add new episodes this post will be edited -- but with each five new episodes I will make a new post for those to account for more recent new additions.
