I saw this on Facebook yesterday, and it does pan out as true ... If you remember the I Love Lucy episode where they're in Paris, and the four of them are sitting in a cafe watching women pass by dressed in haute couture outfits ... one of those models was Georgia Holt, who is Cher's mother. This Is Kirk! wrote: ↑Tue Jan 25, 2022 11:19 pmWell, there was Cher.ParrotRob wrote: ↑Tue Jan 25, 2022 10:06 pmYeah there are a couple of variations on that theme, but they're all essentially the same. John Rendell, owner of Christian the lion, has died of covid, aged 76. Purchased as a cub from a department store, Christian famously lived in London for a year until being released into the wild in Kenya. Video of Christian and Rendell reuniting a year later went viral in 2008, showing the lion bounding up to his former ownenr and hugging him.

Peter Robbins, best known as the voice of Charlie Brown in the 1960s Peanuts specials. After he aged out of that role he had little success and eventually was institutionalized after being convicted of stalking and harassment. He committed suicide. Age 65.

Unlikely to be a clue on J!, but some readers may be interested in this appreciation piece of Bamber Gascoigne, who has just died. He was the original host of University Challenge in the UK, which is based on Quiz Bowl.

Sally Kellerman, MASH star and cabaret singer, dies at 84
Although it's not mentioned in the article, I'll take this opportunity to mention that Kellerman also appeared in an absolutely charming George Roy Hill film, A Little Romance (1979). Yes, she had a supporting role in the movie, but so did Sir Laurence Olivier. The movie has several things going for it including, but not limited to:
• An Oscar-winning score by Georges Delerue, who makes excellent use of Vivaldi's work
• An Oscar-nominated screenplay by Allan Burns, a six-time Emmy winner known for his work on The Mary Tyler Moore Show, Get Smart, and The Bullwinkle Show
• The film debut of 13-year-old Diane Lane, who Olivier reportedly called "the next Grace Kelly"
• Based on the novel E=mc2 Mon Amour, the movie is about two smart people—and how often do we ever see that on screen?
Highly recommended.
