I got this FJ, but I can see how having "1949" and "this state" together might put people on the wrong track.

Ken mentioned James's name multiple times today and James will come up again in the Overheard segment.

Amy was not very beatable on the stage while home viewers might wish they stood where Luis or Rachel were as none of the DDs were too difficult, there was a decent amount of LT and Amy missed the FJ! clue. No matter how good Amy is on the buzzer the opening was there today to have been defeated unlike so many other games.

Today was game 10 of the November 1 & 2 taping sessions. Amy has held up quite well and we'll see on Monday what the break brings.

The FJ! category had me reminding myself to check on both domestic and overseas as sometimes I concentrate on one or the other and forget to do both.

The FJ! clue had me resigned to an 0/5 week as had no great idea which state to guess. The ones I considered were WA, CA, OR, AK, and HI.

I wrote the correct one not so much as I knew anything, but more from not knowing anything to go for the others. After time was up and before the reveals I was wishing it was not CA since I did not want to miss my own state. If it was AK, so be it, although I decided not to write it only in thinking perhaps the population number was too high.

It's the FJ! round and everyone picked a state. Let's hope the same happens on the board. Each person, everyone, picks a state.

Someone picking the state of denial concerns me.....

The clue mentions crater of an extinct volcano and it goes 0 for 3. Wow. And of course there will be those whining that they would have gotten it but Hawaii wasn't a state in 1949.

:D :D :D  on big clues. Jumped right to Hawaii with no looking back.
Is it too much to ask to have someone able to stay with Amy for the FJ lapses? Instead we get palooka after palooka.

It could literally be any other state with a volcano.

I said Washington.

Was this a case of overthinking the question? Hawaii seemed like the obvious choice, so I'm surprised it was a triple miss.

I saw 1949 and thought, well, Hawaii wasn't a state yet, so maybe they're trying to steer us away.

I was thinking the same.

I narrowed it down to Washington and Hawaii. Then I figured 60,000 seemed like a pretty close number to the number of deaths in the Pacific Theater, so Hawaii.

It seemed like they really sped through the abbreviated end credits today, and sped up Johnny's announcement of the online "Overheard" segment.

Sarah had another announcement of the show's Alaska trip sweepstakes starting Monday.

That's what made me finally settle on HI, after briefly considering OR and AK.

It's been a while since I've gotten to watch an entire episode from start to finish thanks to my late work shifts.

Surprisingly, I ran the Oats category.

Pacific theater in WWII was enough to make me fully confident in Hawaii.

Instaget, even without my father-in-law being buried there. Surprised at the TS. Caps a perfect week for me.
