Re: Tuesday, June 21, 2022 Game Recap and Discussion (SPOILERS)
I REALLY don't like Megan's wager. It's too cute by half and exposed her to unnecessary risk. Even Rob's shut-out wager leaves him ahead of Megan's pre-Final score in the event of an incorrect response, so Megan has to assume she will respond correctly to have any chance to win. Therefore, she should go all in to (if correct) pass Rob's pre-Final score and force a correct response from him no matter what he wagers. That protects against the possibility that he makes some wager smaller than the shut-out bet. --BobtheFJguy wrote: ↑Tue Jun 21, 2022 1:34 pmFINAL JEOPARDY! CATEGORY

Re: Tuesday, June 21, 2022 Game Recap and Discussion (SPOILERS)
Mayim opened saying there was still time to qualify for the ToC and that Megan was the 13th qualifier? Hmm... the powers forgot Eric or something else going on?
Pretty much laughable to see how Megan won a 6th game. So what if she botches identifying a pic of a non-J! host for one who did host? And of course none of the players could name the announcing former QB, with the photo not helping at all.
Mayim was a little out of control announcing each lead change in the DJ! round.
The FJ! clue was a fail by me and I'm in the comfort of home. What I needed to do was not think so much and solve it from the end of the clue. Nice by Megan to make her sole solve count.
What Rob wrote for the FJ! round if anyone wants to decipher it:
Andy at The Jeopardy Fan has "Nemmihant".

I'm guessing they forgot Jaskaran since he didn't compete on the syndicated show.MarkBarrett wrote: ↑Tue Jun 21, 2022 1:45 pm Mayim opened saying there was still time to qualify for the ToC and that Megan was the 13th qualifier? Hmm... the powers forgot Eric or something else going on?

Two Greek language related FJs in a row is kind of weird.

Re: Tuesday, June 21, 2022 Game Recap and Discussion (SPOILERS)
"Crying all the way to the bank" is clever. "Laughing" is lame, unworthy of use in a Jeopardy clue.
"Kai-shek" is clearly not enough answer; Jenny should feel lucky if she gets a prompt there.

I agree about both answers, but is Mayim the one making the decisions here?Linear Gnome wrote: ↑Tue Jun 21, 2022 6:00 pmThat and accepting "Ravel" in the "M.R." category. I guess I'll keep watching Mayim, but I don't have to be happy about it.

It looked like there might have edit there, but I'm not sure. I still have no clue how they allowed it, though.Leander wrote: ↑Tue Jun 21, 2022 7:35 pmI agree about both answers, but is Mayim the one making the decisions here?Linear Gnome wrote: ↑Tue Jun 21, 2022 6:00 pmThat and accepting "Ravel" in the "M.R." category. Re: Tuesday, June 21, 2022 Game Recap and Discussion (SPOILERS)
More absurd than Tim Aten's run. 100 quatloos on Megan advancing in the ToC just because.
Still feels like she's out of place commentating the game, and especially reading these statistics monologues at the opening.MarkBarrett wrote: ↑Tue Jun 21, 2022 1:45 pm

Re: Tuesday, June 21, 2022 Game Recap and Discussion (SPOILERS)
This is plain silly. Megan now has the title of Super Champ but she is winning against very weak opposition. Something has gone wrong with Jeopardy since the pandemic and I'm not sure exactly what.
I'd rather cuddle then have sex. If you're into grammar, you'll understand.
