Psst: The Secrets of Sulphur Springs on Disney Channel is pretty good (6 of 11 episodes have aired) and I have enjoyed the time travel aspects with the lead teens meeting a parent as a teen. Throw in the mystery aspect of a missing camper and a spooky hotel... voila an entertaining series.

Does anyone recall a 60's sitcom (maybe) where the theme song was accompanied by a follow-the-bouncing-ball?

Nope, that's not it. We think it was the theme song for a sitcom. He definitely came up.

It does sound vaguely familiar, but I can't place it at the moment.

The funny thing is that this discussion began with My Mother the Car, but we never tied this back to it. Thanks, Randy, you da man!

Wasn't it Santayana who said "Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to ask fellow JBoard members about it"?

One of my functions at a previous job was traveling across the country and internationally to help train electrical utilities to prepare for emergencies. My role was pretty small. Utilities typically have a plan and a backup plan for everything, occasionally plans don’t get implemented because of financial reasons. You can also imagine some of those financial reasons are personal conflicts of interest.

In general the media is very fast to call electrical utilities unprepared in case there is ever an outage. It’s impossible to avoid outages entirely. Even a utility that does everything right will still be called unprepared by the media.

Hopefully everybody gets their power back on soon.

I’ve seen linemen climb metal structures when it’s cold and it’s very impressive. The step bolts or steps get covered in ice and it’s very slippery. Tough job.

You would think that after being promptly disproven on the idea that Alex Trebek would never have pronounced "err" as Ken Jennings did, one would go a little easier on the "undeniable," "incontrovertible," and "no longer any doubt."

Did a moderator seriously move this drivel to a "more appropriate" thread rather than just delete it on site and/or ban the troll? Please don't turn jboard into infowars.

Google decided to be unique this year and instead of doing George Washington's birthday, they decided to do Zakita-Sa's birthday. :)

Not a credible source:

And in line with the comment from jeff6286, I'd rather discuss Jeopardy.
I'm not the defending Jeopardy! champion. But I have played one on TV.
