Jeopardy! Becoming Trilingual

Post by GoodStrategy »

While my idea of three contestants playing in three different languages on the same program may not work in practice, rumor has it that TPTB will now have two new annual tournaments in Spanish (for the growing Hispanic population in the U.S.) and French (for the Quebecers and other francophone groups in North America). They will be structured just like the English tournaments, but will not air in place of any regular anglophone programs - the programming will air initially on a broadcast network in the respective languages where they have stations, and since they're not syndicated like the other J! episodes will also be available for viewing on Sony's website. Hosts for each of the new versions (must be fluent in the respective language) haven't been decided yet, neither has whether or not contestants who have appeared on Anglo J! Trebek-era episodes will be eligible for the foreign language versions (and vice-versa).

I kind of had an experience like this where I mistakenly pressed the portuguese and french buttons on trivia crack. I won just by deciphering the questions in the allotted time.

I hope so. She's hot!

...but the senator, while insisting he was not intoxicated, could not explain his nudity.

If I had 50 cents for every math question I got right, I'd have $6.30 by now.

Did you date her? She was in my band (Phil & the Blanks) along with Dan Druff and Chester Field.
