A Massachusetts acquaintance just received an invite to a June 8 audition in Boston.

I just got an invite for June 6 in Boston. Does anyone know how possible it is to reschedule? I have a conflict which I can potentially work around, but was curious if others have had luck trying for different dates.

I believe when you get the invite (not that I've every gotten one :( ) it has an email address on it that you can contact them at. From what I hear they're very good at accommodating reschedules.

Oh, and good luck!

Well, that was an unusually quick dashing of my dream this time. Boston was my chosen audition city in the absence of a D.C. option.

Same here. After many years of trying, I "passed" (assuming convention wisdom holds) last year and this year (albeit just barely this year), and have been passed over.

But none of them have come to this thread to announce they've received an audition !!!

Well, at least one of us tanked the test.

No, I'm sure they spend at least several days in Boston.

Oh darn! I'm going to be in ATL from 6-9 to 6-11 so I would have just extended my stay by a couple of days. It's a six hour each way otherwise. :x

I'd say no.

Best wishes to all those lucky enough to have received an invitation to Boston (or any other season).

And continuing to keep a good thought for those who haven't been so fortunate yet.

For those of you that have been around here longer:

What is the normal practice of the traveling audition team...do they tend to hit all the cities in a sweeping trip, or might they do Boston in early June, then another city a few weeks later, then back to the east coast, etc.?

My thought would be for budget reasons among other things is they would be going Boston, Atlanta or Tampa, then Atlanta or Tampa (yeah, one then the other in either order), Kansas City, then to the west coast.

Picking Boston was a mistake in retrospect. Looks like no audition this year. :(

They must have a "B list" if some of the people getting invites this week have to decline for whatever reason. Grasping at straws here, just want to hang on to hope a little while longer. :(

My impression has always been that auditions are spaced throughout the year, they are not in one big trip. So I don't see any accurate way of being able to predict that me, even if you knew all of the Full schedules from prior years.

Contact them and let them know you can't make it, but a very nice fellow in Cleveland named John Boy passed the test and would be DELIGHTED to take your place.

Or, more seriously, congrats and I hope they will accommodate you.

And on an even more serious note, AAAAAARRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!! if I've been passed over again.

Put me down as another "chose Boston, thought I passed because I got more than 35 on the test, but didn't get invited to audition." But good luck to those going!
