I chose KC even though I am geographically closer to Boston from my southwestern Ontario location. It is SUBSTANTIALLY cheaper for me to get to KC than Boston - how about $99 return on Amtrak from Port Huron?

At least I'm already booked to be on vacation that week. Unfortunately, I was planning to go to my beloved capital for Canada Day on the 1st.

No email - yet.

Alas, nothing in my inbox, either.

Maybe I should try the Sports Jeopardy test.

Well we've seen Boston, then Atlanta, now KC but with a gap in there for what I would guess is the Tampa stop.

Anyone get that invite yet?

Good thing is we should be able to end speculation of if they spend more time in one city over another.

I don't think you're ever going to have a full picture of exactly how many days in a city, how many sessions, and how many people per session.

I think we can get close.

We know three days in Boston, we should know how many people per session and how long each session takes.

I might take you up on that!

Also if there are any boardies that live on I-29 between Kansas City and the Canadian border, I'd love to visit!

How many people here are gonna be in Boston on June 10th? First time for me, honestly.

No email for a Boston audition for me. 7 years in a row passing the test without an audition. I also sent an email using the referral I got from a previous contestant. This is referral is, obviously, not exactly a guarantee.

Best of luck to the boardies! Hope you all dazzle at the audition.

Good night! So we have reports of June 28, June 30, and July 1. Unless they're taking the 29th off to sightsee, that's four straight days they'll be here. Since I've received assurances on this point, I'd just like to say...
  • HEY ROBERT!

YOU'VE GOT ROOM FOR ONE MORE, RIGHT?

    COME ON! BE A PAL!

ANY DAY BUT THE 28th WORKS FOR ME.
I dunno. I feel like an agnostic trying out prayer. Are you there Robert? It's me, Opus.

Congratulations to all of you who got invites.

I dunno, Opus

It might be just a bit too subtle.

But I hope it works for you.

I was invited for the July 1, 9 AM audition in KC. I am BEYOND THRILLED!

The last time I tried out was in 1994, on the Sony lot in Culver City. I didn't pass the written/video test that time.

Good luck to everyone!

Not at all.

"I hope you cleaned up on your appearance!" is slang for "I hope you made a lot of money when you appeared (on the show)." It's a friendly message.

However, drop the "on" and you'd have been scolded for looking untidy (or "not smart") as the British might say--which of course has no bearing on intelligence. :)

Looks like I won't be joining Jboard's KC auditioners. In the words of my mother, who grew up a Brooklyn Dodgers fan, "wait 'til next year!"

Congratulations to all the boardies who got invited to audition this year. Hope to see all of you on TV!
