Who's Still Standing 1/9 (SPOILERS)

Post by legendneverdies »

Four-time season 26 J! champion Ryan CHaffee was at the top of tonight's WHo's Still Standing episode in a speed round featuring the players a previous show's player didn't knock out of the game before they lost. All the other players missed a question and fell down the stage, leaving Ryan as the one standing and winning $32K($2K for each question answered correctly by the player), with the last one standing winning the cash

For something like this, it might have been wiser if legend just puts "SPOILER" in the subject line and be done with it. Else the whole thread will look like this.

one of the main differences between jeopardy! and non-jeopardy! game shows, i have found, is that jeopardy! does not dress you in purple-sequined epaulettes.

congrats, mrbungle and well done. the main game following the speed round had another familiar face with jc. my instincts tell me he cleaned up on the revived sale of the century, but i'm not sure if i'm remembering him from another show.

everest being a double stumper was the biggest surprise i've seen on the show so far. the show featured another double with two different fellows choosing the door over the floor.

fear factor will have to wait until tomorrow.

thank you, mark barrett. i was similarly troubled by the double-failure by either contestant to identify the tallest mountain on earth, particular since the "hero" outed herself as a geography teacher. her poor students... so deprived.

Congratulations! And sorry for not recognizing you (I thought you looked familiar, but I couldn't put my finger on it  ). I often wondered how a trivia veteran would do on that show; some of the misses are downright heinous. Having said that, I didn't remember Matthew Lesko's name either.

not having the option to decide whether or not to answer the question makes it a much different trivia activity. and having a friend who listens exclusively to girl talk turns out to help a lot.

Girl Talk was the only thing in the first segment that I didn't know; I considered that and Matthew Lesko the hardest (although I got Matthew Lesko). If I'm penultimate man standing I'm still in it!

WHO'S PENULTIMATELY STANDING? might make for an interesting strategic twist.

Like the riddle about the brothers competing for an inheritance, which goes in its entirety to the one with the slower horse!

I'm steeped enough in trivia that I forgot how impressive a get of NATIONAL BISCUIT COMPANY must be to laymen. If there was any one moment I think the audience as a whole believed a particular contestant deserved to emerge triumphant, that was it.

That was very entertaining, despite my initial misgivings about the humiliation side-show aspect of dropping.

Great beard!

And strut.

thank you, suze! i must say, leaving the tv on and thereby catching the part of fear factor in which adult humans washed down live grasshoppers with lusty gulps of live maggots in blood salsa made the dropping humiliation seem a lot less humiliating.

That cowboy dropped with style, though. And I found myself laughing at the drops eventually. I guess I'm just a bad person.

I was also surprised that "Everest" was a double stumper.
