Between 37-40 right for me, depending how they feel about "briny", "portobella", "extra credit car" (time ran out before I could get the last letter in).

39 for me, with a few head-slapping misses.

Thanks for the super-quick transcript!

43 or 44, depending on whether their computer thinks it's OK to have a five-letter shrimp adjective end with a "y".

I'm sure the test writers meant "Reunion", but Christmas is in fact in the Indian Ocean. It would be interesting to know what would happen if someone answered "Christmas" on the show and then argued that people do indeed get together at Christmas. That might work, but It's harder to argue with an automated scoring computer.

Brine shrimp are the infamous sea monkeys of yore. Sorry Pee Wee, your sea monkeys died.

I managed a 35, which isn't bad considering its my first test. Some really bad mistakes, but I am truely awful at pop culture. Surprised I did as well as I did.

You know i sort of misread the Q as meaning the ONLY two moons. I knew mars was the only planet with just two. I also knew that was wrong even as i typed it .

47 here. Said S & R for P & T, spaced on Nick Sparks, and blanked on "brine" shrimp (said "salty" lol). Once more into the breach! Good luck y'all.

Re: the Reunion/Christmas Island conundrum: there is also a Mafia Island in the Indian Ocean. To my mind that's a kind of family get-together, too. :)

Thanks for the quick transcript, Ear! Assuming the island is actually Reunion rather than Christmas (or Mafia!), I got 44.

Now I'm just gonna sit here by my "rear window" (computer!) and watch people while my broken leg heals!

Put me at 24/50, not bad for my first try. Also put me on the Reunion boat, since that's what I got. (Hurricane hobbies help)

My upload of the test to youtube finally went... Of course long after the transcript is done. Anyhow, if anyone wants to view the test and perhaps do it in real time, you can see it here:

Of course, an email popped up halfway through the test...

Thanks Earendel for the questions/answers !!

I took it, trying to answer as quickly as possible since I didn't have a timer or anything. (I thought I registered but I didn't so I didn't get to take it this year) I know I didn't panic as much as I would have w/ a timer, but I got 16 right and I got 17 right last year.

yes, I do THAT BAD every year.

And I totally blew the $50 bill question! That's what happens when you don't see many of them, LOL...

Oh well... guess I'll just be a "fake" jeopardy player for another year. I do SO WELL on the tv show....

Why is that?

I blanked on a couple I should have gotten and came away with 43 correct. But Wednesday is the big night here in Nashville!

Felt like I did better than my usual 33.

Added 'em up just now & figured I scored ... 34. (Sigh)

Unless they take "briny", which would bring me to 35, but I doubt they will. (Waffled between briny & brine; under time pressure, made the wrong choice.)

Still hoping to qualify for an audition for the second time. Next year I'll try to remember to study who's-on-the-currency, a category that arises frequently & is easy to prep for.

Pulled out a 47 this year (Saul for David, Wolfe for Sparks, and no last name to go with Susan).

Last year was 38, 41, and 42 (all played from the archive).

I think my online and written test in 2010 were probably in the same range as last year's.

Wish I had gotten it out of the way tonight instead of waiting for my time zone. Would have been happy with 46, though that score got me nothing but ignored last year. Didn't know to associate Saskia with Rembrandt; Vermeer only off a few decades; no chance on Sparks, misremembered Moore as Miller and failed yet again on christian history. You'd think I would have dedicated a little study to it by now. Anyway, 46 is a good start.

And many thanks, earendel.

40 today, off the transcript. Said "jumbo" for the shrimp question haha. Got spoiled on the "Rear Window" by accidentally seeing it in a post in this thread after an unfortunate scrolling accident. Not sure if I would have answered it in time, so I'm not counting it.

40's what I scored last year on my real one, I think. We'll see what Wednesday and Thursday's transcripts have in store.
