A blank page for me on the FJ! clue and even if the clue had given Clemson it's a still a miss for me. Just not a good one for me. Nice solve by Thayer to get the repeat win.

John Oliver is indirectly to blame/credit for me getting FJ: "That boy... da boy... heh, ol' Soybean Wind himself?"

It would be interesting to find out whether or not the reason the scoreboard puzzle is so easy this week is because it was so hard last week. I usually either say that FJ was an instaget or a miss, so this was the unusual situation where I got it approximately at the time the main theme began it's recapitulation, which I assume is pretty much right at the fifteen second mark.

I wonder if the younger folks would get the scoreboard puzzle as easily as those of us who have reached a certain age.
Spoiler
I was playing softball last week, and one of the opponents was a friend of my son's who I hadn't seen in years. He's 19 years old, African-American and he wore the number 42. So I asked him if it was in honor of Jackie Robinson and it turns out it wasn't. He said "Oh, now I know why people were calling me Jackie".
I wonder if it's possible to work that into a weekly poll question? If not, maybe I'll do a stand alone poll.

I like your story, but I will pass on using the puzzle for the weekly poll or creating a stand alone poll. Sure, create a poll, but make sure to explain how the scoreboard puzzle works since Sports J! is smaller subsection of the board probably many regulars do not read often.

Boy, I had absolutely no clue on FJ. Never would have gotten it even if I had as much time as I wanted.

Congrats to Thayer!

There was a movie about it just a couple years ago.
