Just like last week. Jamaica on Wednesday — I didn't even think of the Bahamas, but I knew Bermuda was wrong.

quantum, no guess, Edison (desperation guess)
Knew the missed extra was the Braveheart guy but couldn't come up with his name in time.

I do not currently live in Maryland/Virginia. Narrowed the choices down to California, Texas, Maryland for Phelps, or wherever Biles is from (which turns out to be Texas), and figured "Maryland for Phelps" is a better guess than "California for sheer odds."
Oh, what has science wrought? I sought only to turn a man into a metal-encased juggernaut of destruction powered by the unknown properties of a mysterious living crystal. How could this have all gone wrong?

Talked myself out of Maryland and into Texas
Came up with The Bahamas at about the 29-second mark, so I didn't have time to change my answer from Jamaica
Got stuck on The Devil in the White City and never paid any attention to the picture

Knew William Wallace but was just too slow to organize my thoughts.

Average Coryat this week of 16,240. Improving slowly but surely.

I answered "Uluru", waited for Alex to pause, and then added "Ayer's Rock". Though I would hope Uluru was on his card.

The polling is indicating there weren't any gimmes this week.

Verdi here. Gets on Ayersrock = Uluru (DNC: Uhuru; Swahili = 'freedom' so hard to keep these straight- recall Lt Uhura > Uhuru, char was Swahili!); Yoda & Wm Wallace > Braveheart (Mel Gibson).

Ok, I looked at a map. The Bahamas are quite nearby. So why aren't they ours?

Robert the Bruce for Wallace (always mix them up). "White City" helped Thursday, as did the picture and the year.

Went with Jamaica.

About halfway through FJ! on the Chicago Exposition clue The Wizard of Oz came to me looking at the picture, but I couldn't come up with Baum in time.

Thanks to the poll I don't feel so bad about batting .200 for the second straight week on FJ.

Said Robert The Bruce for William Wallace because his name is so much cooler.
