Fri - (blank) I finally ran out of brain power and couldn't even process the clue let alone come up with an answer. Just one of those days...

No guess, Lewis Carroll.
I'm exactly 35 (for the time being) and got the Capra clue, but I've never seen any of his movies.
Oh, what has science wrought? I sought only to turn a man into a metal-encased juggernaut of destruction powered by the unknown properties of a mysterious living crystal. How could this have all gone wrong?

W/F/CotLB: Was the FJ on any of the SNL Celebrity Jeopardy sketches ever just "Name a person. Any person."? Because some days I feel like I could miss that.

Blanked on Capra, for some reason.
Flipped a coin between Doyle and Thomas Hardy, and got it right.

Wrote down "Carroll" on Thursday without a ton of confidence. I knew the Carrolls were a prominent Maryland family who might have things named after them, and I knew Charles Carroll had signed the Declaration of Independence. It turns out that he didn't sign the Constitution, but his cousin Daniel Carroll did.

I've certainly heard of Fort McHenry, but I never knew who McHenry was. In fact, during the 30 seconds of FJ, I briefly thought "Maybe it's something to do with the Star-Spangled Banner or Francis Scott Key", but then I decided Francis Scott Key was probably too young to have signed the Constitution.

I'm still saving Friday show to watch, but read the clue here. Then I had to go find the category trying to avoid spoilers because I didn't know if Hampshire was TOM'd in or out of England. (or in retrospect was it another damn Maryland clue!)
I got to Doyle pretty quickly by just saying, hmmm, Sir Blank Blank, or Sir Blank. After eliminating Humphrey Davies, I ran out of Sirs. I knew Doyle was a medico because Dr. Watson is somewhat modeled for him (even the limp I think).
2/5 which will possibly be my good week once i start paying attention to keeping score. The Maryland clues killed me and I blew the easy Oscar one.
I tried to prompt my father by saying "Elementary", but alas...
Also, in editing this after watching the show, I wanted to say Watson was a doppelganger, but someone else said "alter ego", which I believe to be the case.
Another fine clue from the J! writers. I wonder if they considered wordplay on "elementary" in their composition process.

Got McHenry just from thinking of a Maryland monument that would have been around in 1803. Knew it wasn't Camp David!

Both Camp David and McHenry were "DUH" headslap moments for me - knew them, should have been able to think of them in 30 seconds, but alas, failed.

With 82 total votes at this time, 22 votes for people under 35 (Group A) and 60 votes for people 35 and over (Group B).

For Monday's Final Jeopardy "Camp David", 56/82=68% were correct in total, 11/22=50% for group A, 45/60=75% for group B.

For Tuesday's Final Jeopardy "Lent", 69/82=84% were correct in total, 18/22=82% for group A, 51/60=85% for group B.

For Wednesday's Final Jeopardy "Frank Capra", 57/82=70% were correct in total, 12/22=55% for group A, 45/60=75% for group B.

For Thursday's Final Jeopardy "McHenry", 28/62=34% were correct in total, 4/22=18% for group A, 24/60=40% for group B,

For Friday's Final Jeopardy "Sir Arthur Conan Doyle", 34/82=41% were correct in total, 6/22=27% for group A, 28/60=47% for group B.

group A (50, 82, 55, 18, 27)

group B (75, 85, 75, 40, 47)

(group B / group A) = (1.5, 1.03, 1.36, 2.22, 1.74), average(group B/group A) = 1.57

Summary: The older group outperformed the younger group on every clue this week. The younger group's relative performance on the "Frank Capra" clue was slightly better than the average relative performance and the classical movie selection did not favor the older group more than the other trivia questions.

Wed - Got Capra instantly, then let myself be dissuaded by "Italian immigrant"
Fri - So obvious in hindsight, but I couldn't think of an author who would be known as Sir Such-and-such
Sprinkles are for winners.
