Summer Hiatus Challenge -- Round 1, Day 6
Another guest writer today. A good one, at that.
This set is going up earlier than usual to allow for religious observances over the weekend. The deadline for all of Round 1 for Weekly Winner purposes is 11:59 PM PDT Sunday.
Good luck.

Re: Summer Hiatus Challenge -- Round 1, Day 6
PERIODIC DOMAIN NAMES
Several folks submitted categories having to do with the periodic table (and you'll probably see at least one more before the summer ends), but this one is just brilliant. Congrats to Ivan. Well done, sir.
Each correct response will be a two-letter symbol of the element described in the clue and the Internet domain of the country described. Example: The traditional 50th Anniversary gift, and a country that has 2 sheep and 16 rabbits per person would be Au, for gold and Australia. Remember, we want the symbol.
2: A greenish-yellow gas that disinfects drinking water and the country that is home to the southernmost village in the world.
4: An element mined on Cyrpus during the Roman era, and the home to two three-time Olympic boxing champions.
6: The second-most abundant element in the Earth's crust, and the first piece of the former Yugoslavia to officially join the Eurozone.
8: The International Prototype Kilogram is made of platinum and this “rainbow” element; the country's federal calendar includes Nationalization of the Oil Industry Day
10: An element that can be added to glass to give it a green color and the country where the world's only freshwater sharks live.
I GET AROUND
3: “Another comes on and another comes on” this mode of transport in the title of the first song Weird Al Yankovic played on national TV.
6: The Amtrack route running from Chicago to Quincy, Illinois named for this poet doesn't exactly “come on little cat feet.”
9: Inspired by Green Stamps, this type of rewards program was first introduced by Texas Internaitonal Airlines in 1979.
12: A sequel to a 2006 documentary, the movie “Revenge of” this type of vehicle debuted at the Tribeca Film Festival on Earth Day 2011.
15: This type of bicycle named for two British coins fell out of favor in 1893 with the widespread adoption of pneumatic tires.
