"Winds" OK for woodwinds? If so, I got 41.

The "halogen" clue definitely [ETA: did not asked--thanks for the corrections, all!] for a 6-letter word. Even counting that as a miss, I think I got 42.

Huh... I thought the test seemed really hard but when I counted up my answers I ended up around 30 which is about how I usually do.

Got 29 (including my answer of "haloen" for their type just because). This test seemed tougher than the tests I've passed before though, but that's more because the test I take is always the hardest of the three haha. Better luck next year for me!

Ugh...33/50. I should have gotten Bangladesh, A Farewell to Arms, and William the Conqueror. Oh well, maybe next year. Good luck to everyone else!

I got all of the first 10 right somehow. I can't remember what I answered for a couple of them because I was "in the zone", but I know I got "woodwind" wrong. I'd say I probably hit high 30s which for me is impressive.
ETA: Will it let you take more than one?

Ugh, also feeling the rust. 17 wrong, when I haven't gotten more than 10 wrong on any of the tests that I couldn't officially take since I was in the pool.

looks like 36 here. Meh, but considering I did exactly zero prep, it coulda been worse. I have GOT to brush up my chemistry though.

Re: Online Test Recap & Discussion (Eastern), April 9, 2019
This has become the story of my life. I got a 34, for like the 6th time that I have taken the test.
I lost out on 50 50 90 guesses between Dick and Bradbury and East River and Hudson River.
I made educated lucky guesses on Dreamworks and the Columbia River.
I can't believe that I said India for China on the Opium Wars question, too.

Re: Online Test Recap & Discussion (Eastern), April 9, 2019
Missed 6 outright -- Red Dead Redemption, Chevron, Billions (never heard of it), Philip K. Dick (waaaah, I blanked on who wrote it!), Pavarotti (blanked on his name although I knew who they meant!), and RNA (back & forth between DNA/RNA.)
3 others, I may have run out of time trying to fix typos (Hesse, which I spelled Haesse, Flamenco, and A Farewell to Arms.) Hope they'll accept "Frrewell"!
So, somewhere between 41 & 44. OK, I'm good.

37 here. I've now missed two O.Henry questions on back to back days.
Now swimming in the J! pool.

Yeah, I kept wondering why I remembered "6." But it's a 6 element group. Halogen is correct.Cat Hammarskjold wrote: ↑Tue Apr 09, 2019 8:26 pm I thought they were looking for a 6-letter word instead of halogen as well, but I put halogen anyway.

Re: Online Test Recap & Discussion (Eastern), April 9, 2019
I think I got lucky in having several things I reviewed in the past few days pop up today. Got 45 I think. I missed chevron early, and the damn before and after, and then I think just got spent and missed a bunch at the very end. Lost a toss up between Farewell to Arms and For Whom The Bell Tolls, and couldn't come up with either impeachment or flamenco, which I suspect should have been easy. I blanked on sitar for some reason until like 2 seconds were left, and I may have not gotten that one all out, so maybe 44.
