I was today years old when I found out that
"Watch 'Jeopardy!', Alex Trebek's fun TV quiz game"
is a pangram (containing every letter of the alphabet.)

Can't tell how old this is but based on Google it's at least 11 years. Wikipedia might have been helped but they deleted their article with a list of pangrams. WIth 44 letters, it's not the most efficient pangram, but it's at least less than 26*2.

It is the most Jeopardy! pangram though, and this the best.

It was constructed by Peter Mowrey in 2002 as a submission for a contest on NPR's Weekend Edition Sunday Puzzle to create a pangram that included the name of a famous person. It didn't win but was apparently one of the runners up, according to this list of puzzlemaster Will Shortz's favorite entries.Robert K S wrote: ↑Mon Nov 11, 2019 11:32 am Can't tell how old this is but based on Google it's at least 11 years. Punctuation and spaces don't count when calculating the length of a pangram, so it actually has just 37 letters. After several hours of seeing if I could make one that was any shorter, this is the best I could come up with:Robert K S wrote: ↑Mon Nov 11, 2019 11:32 am WIth 44 letters, it's not the most efficient pangram, but it's at least less than 26*2.

He misquoted the "quick brown fox" pangram in the past tense, thereby depriving it of its only S!cheezguyty wrote: ↑Mon Nov 11, 2019 7:29 pm this list of puzzlemaster Will Shortz's favorite entries

Re: J! Pangram
For those curious about the fate of our favourite pangram in the wake of Alex’ death, "Watch 'Jeopardy!', Mayim Bialik’s fun and exciting TV quiz game" works!

I learned a shorter pangram back when I was a kid. It was all in a single word!

All this talk about pangrams makes me want to recommend Ella Minnow Pea, a book by Mark Dunn. If you haven't read it yet and have a love or interest in creative language, go read it. It involves a search for a pangram of certain length and certain letters are dropped from the book as it goes along. I finished it a couple months ago, and it was such a fun read!

Re: J! Pangram
Well, the Mayim part is superfluous, I guess you can save some there. And if you can find a shorter adjective to replace “fun and exciting” that has an f, n, and x in it that would help too.
