Looking forward to the rest of the reveal!
i almost attempted to go with the trolley song...had just learned of it recently when i watched a bbc show about judy garland...couldn't remember the exact name of the song, so i passed on it

Thanks for the ASL! It gives us bottom dwellers something to aspire to! I'm at 2/3 sheep, shooting for that 50/50 line!
get it done, dude
This ASL is actually inspired by the Mendoza Line. You are a baseball junkie who knows what that is. Not Nurse Nancy cool, but cool. And Peachbox probably heard about it from the stone age. I remember seeing the weekly BA stats and Joe Garagiola (eta - maybe it was Uecker?) was always right there at .200.
Or maybe Peachbox is the baseball junkie. ;)

Oh, I knew that! That's why I brought it up ;) . But I time warped my childhood into the '40's with that Joe G comment. I thought Mendoza dated from the late 60's when I was reading Dal Maxville and Bob Uecker's stats at the bottom of the hitting list, but the expression came up in the '70's. I remember Yaz hitting .301 as the only AL player out of the 2's in 1968 - the Year of the Pitcher! I probably put his rookie baseball card in my bike wheel, lol..
Thanks for the TD - I thought you wouldn't mind a little off-topic post :).

5. CLASSICAL MUSIC IN POPULAR CULTURE
One of my favorite TV programs has been Classical Rewind, which looks at how classical works have been used in popular culture. Classical music.....it's what's for dinner.

A. This music by is by Offenbach; name the dance it’s most associated with. Can-Can
B. Name either the 1980 film that used the music heard here, or the ice dance team that used it for theme music at the Olympics in Sarajevo in 1984. 10, Torvill and Dean
C. Ponchielli’s Dance of the Hours is heard in this clip. Name either the comedian whose own 1963 song has the same melody, or his song (you don’t have to get the title exactly right). Allan Sherman, Hello Muddah, Hello Fadduh (A Letter from Camp) aka Camp Granada
D. Name the 1968 Stanley Kubrick film this clip is known for. 2001: A Space Odyssey
E. Sabre Dance by this composer has been used in a variety of TV shows and movies, including the "spinning plates" on The Ed Sullivan Show. Aram Khachaturian
F. You'll likely recognize the music heard here. Name the work itself, or the 1949-1957 TV series that used it as opening theme music. The William Tell Overture (Rossini), The Lone Ranger
G. This Mendelssohn piece is played most often at what type of ceremony? a wedding
H. Starting in 1992, this composer's piece, "Hoe-Down," was used in an ad campaign for a certain type of product. Name either the composer or the product. Aaron Copland, beef
I. This classical composer's "Gliding Dance of the Maidens" from the 1890 opera Prince Igor was used as the melody for a song from the 1950s movie Kismet. Name either the classical composer or that song.

J. This clip is "Entry of the Gladiators" by Julius Fucik, but you might know it as music used primarily in what type of
performing arts showcase?

A clutch singleton with Secretariat kept me at 20 pts, exactly 50%! I usually have a wrong answer someplace, so this was a very user friendly game, and I didn't have to use a drop or sheep (I grow my own sheep).

I'm more disturbed by the switch in nomenclature order for the onion one.
