Re: Football pre-emptions
I'm just giving the schedule, as econgator notes there is alredy a 30 minutes postgame built in but it's true, college football games can easily eclipse the 3:30 mark, even without going to numerous overtimes.LucarioSnooperVixey wrote: ↑Wed Nov 27, 2019 2:22 am12 PM to 7:30 PM, as they always extend the time slot for commentary and pre-empt J!

Edit: now 9:00PM on Friday. They added another half hour for the game. Still wish they'd just go with the 2:07A airing and remove all doubt.

Re: Football pre-emptions
It's not football, and it's not a pre-emption, but more of a...post-emption? J! is moving up from 7:30 to 7 tomorrow (Tuesday) in Boston, due to the "Faneuil Hall Holiday Spectacular" on our CBS station. (Wheel gets moved to the graveyard shift.)
It's not the tree lighting in Boston Common, which has more J! significance, as it's a gift to Boston for their aid in the 1917 Halifax explosion.

Mine listings have Jeopardy on at 9 pm Friday in Los Angeles, but don't be surprised if they don't show the whole thing. They "may join in progress"

Re: Football pre-emptions
Looking ahead to Sept. 21st on the schedule I saw that KGO will be showing the Raiders MNF game locally even though that team has relocated to LV. J! is listed to air at 9:30 after the post-game show. Week 13 has the 49ers hosting a MNF game which I'm sure KGO will have the local rights for as well.
When L.A. had no football teams that area got the pick of the "best" NFL games since their was no allegiance to a local team. Up here it's 49ers & Raiders having honors and I guess that won't change even with the Raiders leaving town.

That week 2 game on 9/21 is airing nationwide on ABC (simulcast with ESPN), a one-time return of MNF to the network in celebration of the 50th anniversary of Monday Night Football as well as to show off the Raiders' new digs.MarkBarrett wrote: ↑Tue Sep 08, 2020 10:21 am Looking ahead to Sept. 21st on the schedule I saw that KGO will be showing the Raiders MNF game locally even though that team has relocated to LV. Ah, that makes sense. Thanks. That means the whole West Coast will have their airing of J! that night beyond the 7/7:30 slots.jeff6286 wrote: ↑Tue Sep 08, 2020 11:54 amThat week 2 game on 9/21 is airing nationwide on ABC (simulcast with ESPN), a one-time return of MNF to the network in celebration of the 50th anniversary of Monday Night Football as well as to show off the Raiders' new digs.MarkBarrett wrote: ↑Tue Sep 08, 2020 10:21 am Looking ahead to Sept. 21st on the schedule I saw that KGO will be showing the Raiders MNF game locally even though that team has relocated to LV. Re: Football pre-emptions
WBZ Boston is once again pushing WoF/J! from the normal 7-8 PM time slot on Fridays to 2-3 AM early Saturday morning (ie ahead 7 hours) for Patriots All Access - now with less Brady!
It'll probably be a permanent thing all season, just like the last season(s) - should last until the end of December if you're (optimistic/pessimistic), or early February if you're (pessimistic/optimistic).
