Morgan Freeman (didn't think it was, but could be (MIllion Dollar Baby + ???)); Champagne (knew it was probably cheese but couldn't think of any good cheeses so I went with something else to have something)
Oh, what has science wrought? I sought only to turn a man into a metal-encased juggernaut of destruction powered by the unknown properties of a mysterious living crystal. How could this have all gone wrong?

Didn't have any good answer for the Wednesday clue. I really need to familiarize myself with the list of Oscar winners.

I had "Georgia on My Mind" on Thursday.

Helen Fielding is not a name I know, though Henry Fielding is. I probably could've come up with the answer if I'd been given a little bit of time.

My first thought when I realized the correct response on Wednesday (technically Thursday because of KABC's error) was "Mahershala Ali," so I checked that, but I might have gone for Mahershalalhashbaz if I had been writing it down.

I got lucky on Friday (technically it was already Saturday when I watched it). First I thought the priest could be Dom Perignon and the product could be champagne, but then I thought "Champagne is just a region" (it's also a city) and focused my attention on "Brie," deciding the correct response must also be the name of a cheese, and the only French non-Brie cheese I could think of before time ran out was Camambert.

I don't have Helen Fielding's name at all strongly in my mind, so I don't know how I got to it so fast from "a guy named Henry who wrote about a guy named Jones."

No idea on Wed. Not keeping up enough on Oscars in the past 10 years.
Georgia On My Mind occurred to me first on Thurs. Never bothered to reconsider.
Friday close to instaget.

Ouch! Thank goodness for a J! mainstay, otherwise bad responses through the week...
On the Tues clue, let's just say I'm no Mary Louise Kelly with a map... :)
I always pay attention to the Oscars but I never remember the results for long... ...Still this strikes me as a good and very gettable clue...
Thurs I was stuck with Almost Heaven, West Virginia, even realizing that's not the title...
Fri I could only think of Roquefort. I'm in the market for brie entirely too often. I don't remember ever seeing camembert in my local supermarkets...
Would have gotten to Fielding with more time...
