Do you watch Better Call Saul? The year of the Magna Carta was a plot point.

Sounds like laughter to me.

Since I've got a lot of British friends and acquaintances, Dick Van Dyke's atrocious Cockney accent in "Mary Poppins" has long been a topic of conversation. Strangely, though, nobody ever calls him to task for the accent of the other character he played in the film, the elder Mr Banks. In the recent sequel, he plays the younger Mr Banks (a role played in the original by an actual Englishman, Arthur Malet, who died about a year before "Mary Poppins Returns" started filming).

Van Dyke couldn't play the older character in the sequel; Mr Banks Sr died off-screen the night before the final scene of the first film.

Mr. Banks is the children's father, you mean Mr. Dawes the bank director.

Triple negative. You can do better.
I can't not say I wasn't not hoping Alex wouldn't not get Jessica's name wrong.

That was supposed to be the same character? That makes so little sense.

Why did Michael age 30 years and Dawes age 50 years?

Either banking ages you more quickly, or having a magical nanny ages you more slowly.
