Oh, we all can hope Imad Khuri can discover any full J! episodes in his collection from the GSN reruns we haven't archived yet or in the case for Season 18 from the original broadcast(before they went to having the 3rd place finisher getting $1000 and the 2nd place getting $2000).

Robert was rmfromfla and (Ohio) Ron emailed me shortly after my post and says he has not posted in 6 years, but to let you know he's still around.

Is there a list of which eps. from S18 need prizes prior to the cash for 2nd/3rd? It can't be all of them as I know some of the S18 games I did were ones I worked on from original airing and I included the prizes. What may have happened is I did not recall the trips were shown between the first two segments and overlooked filling in the prize spots.

That could be something I work on in pieces here and there in the fall.

I think I remember that FJ. I got it right with no trouble just now, but I think it's because I remembered.

In DD3 the second instance of "Henry" is rendered "Henrv."

And on 5-LETTER WORDS $800, the clue is "In doggerel things go from bad to this" with the correct response being
Spoiler
worse
but I'm not sure I get the doggerel reference in that case. I thought the clue was setting up a pun, and responded
Spoiler
"verse"
Are we sure that wasn't what was said?

Yes, December 17, December 31, 2001 and January 1-3 and 7, 2002, January 18, 2002, January 29, 2002, March 12, 2002, April 8, April 11-15 and 19, 2002 need trips listed.

All of the clues are there except for one little problem as the recording went from the last clue of the first segment to the FJ! round before the J! round clue could fully zoom or play out. I know Ric got it correct based on scores after chat. I just can’t make out the wording.

Here it is if anyone has those kind of fictitious skills from TV/movies were a blurry license plate suddenly becomes crystal clear from 100 yards away off a street cam.

The best I can guess is

"All 3 ________ Charlie's Angels"

That's hilarious.

Sg's "Charlie's Angels" guess seems like it's on the right track. I think I can make out the opening quotation mark in front of "Charlie's".

Henry fixed as the OCR worked in spots and even when it works a V for Y is one of the more difficult things for me to spot.

Mark said "verse" and I tried to figure out what that meant and only got more confused when googling the saying and how doggerel fit. In the end I took it as some kind of making a W sound like a V in whatever languages to do that. I meant to ask about it in my post afterwards and forgot.

To all of you who helped game by game to make the archive more accurate I appreciate all of the posts here and correction suggestions. It definitely gives these game a better accuracy rate.

So after some research (the show was before my time and I don't recall watching many reruns) I learned that Farrah Fawcett left the show after the first season and was replaced with Cheryl Ladd as her character's sister. With that in mind, my guess is that the clue was asking for All 3 original "Charlie's Angels"

If so, the correct response would have been Farrah Fawcett, Kate Jackson, & Jaclyn Smith, but I presume they would have also accepted the character names Jill Munroe, Sabrina Duncan, & Kelly Garrett.

Okay, I'll see what I have when I get a chance in combination of still planning to deal with more extended credits. It's a pleasant surprise to see it's not a long list.

J22 Erratum: Pennsylwsnia does not have a seat in the House of Representatives.
DJ21 Erratum: unless G!ovanni de Dolci really spelled his name with an exclamation point

Like two of the contestants, I went the wrong way on FJ. I did consider the correct response, and I did feel the 1879 birth year was a bit old for the one I stuck with (10 years too old, it turns out). Oh well.
Looks like someone already cleaned house for me. Thank you and thank you.

Warning: If like me you try to check Google for a possible "Ed Sample" hit you may not get what you're looking for. I'm fairly confident I'm in the ballpark for his name and quite certain for Faryl Reingold.

When working on various tapes for the long credits brigade I was reminded by green box colors unusual on my shelves that I had some tapes I acquired many years ago through VHS for VHS game show trades. One tape had a bunch of S1 games.

All of the games were already in the archive except this one that had been sitting in my collection without my recalling it since probably before I started archiving games.

All of the clues are there except for one little problem as the recording went from the last clue of the first segment to the FJ! round before the J! round clue could fully zoom or play out. I know Ric got it correct based on scores after chat. I just can’t make out the wording.

Yup, that was a typical S1 game.

At this point unless I discover other games in my collection or other episodes turn up through sharing routes with uploads, I do not have anymore games to archive.

Through PMs I have been given a couple of leads to some on the trading circuit that may or may not be active and who could have games missing from the archive. I will share good news when and if I can.

Glad I could help provide those. By the way I sent you a PM.

It reads like one of those early clues where they left out words from the display of the clues that Alex would fill in when reading them.

Of course it has to be a clue where the response isn’t straightforward as to what Ric would have said. I think they were probably wanting the character names but even then there are six ways he could have questioned.

John did not try to set up the tie even though he was retiring. Bad karma? He was immediately bounced from both the ToC and the UToC. John also negged himself out of a lock on clue 29.

Ha, check out the first clue. The clock is ticking for a correction suggestion on the capitalization.

opus: more Bible again as I feel like I've done about a dozen categories in that area this summer. It was played last, so that usually means trouble. Could have been better, could have been worse.
Note to disinformation specialists from the archive cabal: I have a copy of this post elsewhere, so don't think you can get away with that trick where you secretly change what I wrote to make me look ridiculous.

Erratum on J28: aposttes should be apostles.

Blech. Terrible game. I think I'm still shaken up over the recent incident.

Here's what happened in the J! round alone. I immediately went in the hole with a neg on the "Up from Slavery" author then joined the contestants for a quadruple stumper on the singer of "Who's Sorry Now?" What do they think this is, a Seniors Tournament? Went on to clam on stuff I could have gotten or stare at stuff I didn't know. No clue on the 20/20 host, the WWII flying ace or the heiress. Almost rang in on the "Cat Ballou" actor but would've blurted out the wrong name. Clammed on the "Odd Couple" star which was a coin flip for me and I would've guessed the wrong one. (Note: Not really a coin flip since there are both film and television versions to consider. And for some reason my "coin flip" was between the actor who played Felix in the movie and the one who played him on TV. I thought I was choosing between a Felix and an Oscar, but I couldn't even get that right.)

Saw "comic creator" and "Woodstock" and almost buzzed in for a humiliating neg. Noticed in time that we were being asked for the creator of "Dick Tracy". I may have known that once, but not now. Didn't know what atolls are made of. Forgot the category that would've given me easy points on the smaller lighter piano clue. I knew the name of Hamlet's mother but have never heard it used to describe a slip made for infants. So I clammed out of fear that I was missing something. Nope. I even missed a BIBLE clue, for cryin' out loud! I misread "New" as "Old", stopped reading and confidently named the fifth book of the Old Testament. Does something about the clue invite that misunderstanding? It doesn't seem so, yet Gail named the fifth book of the Old Testament as I did and Robert tried to rebound with the alphabetically first book... of the Old Testament. John wisely saw that the clue was emitting some powerful mind-clouding rays and declined to ring in. I don't know if I'd have rung in on the first apostle mentioned in Gospel lists. But if I had, unlike Robert, I'd have picked the name of an apostle. My guess turned out to be correct, even, but I was so rattled at this point that I clammed.
Spoiler
Said Frederick Douglass instead of Booker T. Connie Francis rings a bell, but that's it. Clammed on Hugh Downs (heard of), Pappy Boyington (who?), Gloria Vanderbilt (heard of). Would've said Strother Martin rather than Lee Marvin even though I'm pretty sure I'd get it right on any other day. Comic creator + Woodstock = Charles Schulz, right? Atolls are made of coral. I would've guessed volcanic ash/magma/lava if forced. It's bedtime; put the baby in his Gertrude. Still sounds weird.
3500 Coryat after the J! round. Ouch.

DJ7 called to mind an old Dad joke. If April showers bring May flowers, what do May flowers bring?
Spoiler
Pilgrims!
I got DJ9 about Cox's running mate who was stricken with polio. Only one obvious guess. This was before the 2003 re-analysis suggesting his symptoms may have been more consistent with Guillain–Barré syndrome.

Finally I get a moment of pride on DJ9! The contestants couldn't pull the name of the Democratic VP candidate from 2 years prior. I remembered his name almost 32 years later. Things are looking up. I confidently expect my Coryat to break 10,000.
Spoiler
Lloyd Bentsen
And... back into the derp barrel. For DD2 I missed the word "Democrat" in the clue AND the category, so I said:
Spoiler
Teddy Roosevelt. At least it's a DD so my Coryat didn't go down. In my defense, Wilson was a virulent racist who re-segregated Washington and set back racial equality by decades. He also praised a film that glorified the KKK (Birth of a Nation). So I'm proud to miss this one. Do you hear me? PROUD! Sigh. I'm not even convincing myself.
Took a flier (ha!) and missed on DJ18 MOTHER GOOSE $800: Simon thought he "could not fail" to catch this, "because he had a pinch of salt to put upon his tail"
Spoiler
"Bird" was accepted. The poem specifies "a dickey bird". Maybe a BMS was in order? Not that it matters to my guess. I went with "quail" because it rhymes. Perhaps I was also influenced by his earlier mention as the debater of Lloyd Bentsen.
Desperate to get my Coryat above 10,000 with two clues left (well, three on the board, but one was blank), I decided to buzz in with a guess on DJ28 GEORGE GERSHWIN $1000: This political satire was the 1st musical to win a Pulitzer Prize in drama
Spoiler
Of Thee I Sing
And I got it right! DIng ding ding ding ding ding ding!!!!!! 10,900 Coryat for the... less humiliating trainwreck of a loss. Good thing I took my shot on this one since I had no chance on the $800 clue that would have been my last chance.

Missed FJ to complete my humiliation. Waffled between two guesses, both wrong.
Spoiler
Lava and Dial. I went with Dial if anyone's interested.

In my childhood I heard of Fels-Naptha in two places. One was above the washer and dryer in my house—my mom kept a bar there (I don't think it was ever unwrapped). (It stuck out to me because I knew from listening to Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat cast recordings—yes, plural—that one of Jacob's sons was named Napthali—though possibly with a different arrangement of H's on the lyric sheet—and I wondered if the word was related.) The other was on the label of a tent I took on Boy Scout trips, where it recommended cleaning with Fels-Naptha if the tent got mildewed. But I got this FJ right.
