Gautham's opening move was one of the hand pointing things that Michiganders do as he seemed to be pointing to Jackson's spot.

Lucy once again had a slow start as she only got in once in the opening segment.

The game had another of those (Wasn't that just on Master Minds) with the 1587 queen clue.

Best of luck to LSV getting a perfecto as I would think at least one in THE NAME IS THE TV TITLE will stump him since I only managed 3. I was too slow sorting through the CW shows on one and could not recall the Apple TV+ title in time.

The FJ! category had me trying to guess where the writers might go and I had Corgis, her kids, sister and preceding kings of the 20th c.

The FJ! clue had me narrow the choices to two presidents and I joined the misses of the contestants instead of going the right way with Jennifer. My tip of the scales was a time in office tilt with 61-63 vs. 63-69 telling me to go for the shorter period.

In wondering whether to go the other way the only thing that occurred to me was JFK in Germany so perhaps he saw the queenie.

I saw the movie The Queen and the that was not going to help. I have only seen the first episode of The Crown. Would having watched more of that series given me some memorable scene to tilt my scale the other way?

Lucy ended up 1/4 on FJ! clues and 6/7 on DDs. Reverse either miss today on wagering clues and she wins again. The ToC opportunity was there while for like so many other 3x champs, it go away. It's not like this is 2005-06 when five 3xers got invited to the dance.

Gautham betting $3199 on DD3 was a good way of trying to insure making it to the FJ! round and then he ended up adding 1200 more spoiling the chance for viewers to see someone go into the round with a buck.

I've now read the posts on The Jeopardy! Fan to get my answer about The Crown. Yeah, I'm not surprised. Maybe I can get my revenge when J! asks about such important things as Floor is Lava, The Baby-Sitters Club, or Diary of a Future President?

This game is a draw for the Weak Form of Shore's Conjecture. The second-place player bet "big." --Bob

Poll request on JFK as incorrect response for FJ. I'm going to go out on a limb and predict it gets more hits than the correct response (unless some key path to the correct solution emerges that I'm not seeing)

Yes, of course, the wrong guy will be a poll choice.

See above, mas3cf, that watching The Crown seems to be one path.

I watch Riverdale. So if it's Katy Keene, I'm in with a chance.

I have searched on Apple TV+ recently and have seen ads for shows on that app. My pre-call will be Ted Lasso.

If my pre-calls are correct, I'm in with a chance.

Mark: Do not reply to this until after I view the archive.

Archive playthrough:

Coryat $39,000 (47R, 1W)*
DD 3/3
FJ :(

*Currently scored as 0 because I don't know how to rule it: said Southern Pacific for Fresno. What I'm seeing about the history of the two railways makes it hard for me to parse out. If you look at the History of Fresno, it suggests CP is the right answer, but if you look at the history of SP, it sounds like that could be it. Both were owned by Leland Stanford et al. at the time of Fresno's founding, and Fresno ended up on the SP line. Anyone more knowledgeable willing to weigh in?

57 R (Ted Lasso pre-call was correct but still missed Reba, the Kosher Wine Brand, and the Skarsgard brothers.)
DD: 3/3
FJ:
LT: Grimm, Ted Lasso, Star Fort, Elderberries, Central Pacific, Rattlesnakes, (Joliet), (Infer)

I knew Edward was born the same year as my Dad, 1964. All the way with LBJ.

I was pretty sure Kennedy went to Ireland so he popped over to see her. I would have pegged her youngest as born later than 1964 but was sure it wasn’t Nixon so that left LBJ.

Thanks to watching The Crown, JFK was one I could immediately eliminate.

Almost talked myself out of Alamo on DD1.

I appreciated Gautham's DD wager. Make sure your Around for Final.

For final i figured it was someone not that recent. Went JFK.

How the hell was "star fort" a TS?

Strangely, I was 12/12 on the top boxes but 0/12 on the bottom ones.

NHO the Skarsgård brothers, nor do I see anything noteworthy in any of their filmographies.

I took 15 mental guesses, but none were LBJ or JFK. Ended up with a blank screen.

Lach Trash: Grimm, star fort, rattlesnake. Also got the "infer" DD.

Would I prevail with citadel for star-shaped?

I got Johnson right away by knowing that Prince Edward was born in 1964.

I kind of hate this final. The birth year of Prince Edward just seems like a completely useless hint. The birth years of her 4 children are 1948, 1950, 1960, 1964. Despite the two posters above bizarrely claiming they just know Edward was born in 1964, that is not any kind of clue to the vast majority of the population. Prince Edward has never at any time of his life been a well-known public figure to Americans so knowing whether he happened to be born in 1961 or 1964 is entirely arbitrary. Who cares if some third tier royla is 56 or 59? If anything, someone is more likely to know how old Prince Charles is, and that actually hurts you here as unless you know there is a 10 year gap in Liz's offspring it is probably more reasonable to place Edward in 1961 rather than 1964.
