Brendan leaves 0/5 on wagering clues. It's tough to stick around long with that kind of lack of success even with a great trigger finger.

Anthony took an opening skunk segment and only Brendan's big miss on DD2 got Anthony out of third for a little bit of time.

Morgan solved both of her DDs yet still still trailed for the FJ! round even with the added bonus of Brendan losing $5K. Tsk, tsk although she got the last laugh with the sole solve.

The FJ! category had me run elections 1960 to present as I expected on the more recent side of things.

The FJ! clue nicely went right to the year to spare me one of those 30 seconds frantic searches. I knew the guys involved and only had to sort out the clue. Doing "left" with 2021 sensibilities had me half wrong after I finished writing. Fortunately, I had time to process everything in the clue (including, this time, finishing positions) to realize my error and make the proper switch.

It's a lot to write though all three players demonstrated there is time to get plenty on the screen.

It was nice to see the Combined Coryat back up to a more respectable level and the charity will like the bump up in the final result as well.

This game is a draw for the Strong Form of Shore's Conjecture. The second-place player bet "big." --Bob

It's complete: https://www.j-archive.com/showgame.php?game_id=6971

The FJ! round is a mess with all the [*], [**] and [***] action.

ty to sony for posting "Schitts Creek" in Captions so that there werent any angry Parents Across America. :D NHO "Lilly-Livered".

Had to deal with a Thunder storm warning pop up for the last 7/8 clues of The J Round.

Dont know much about the 1912 election. couldn't think of and parties other than the obvious 2. and neither of them were part of the correct response anyway.

LOL at the Schitt's Creek clue going the way it did.

I knew enough about the 1912 election to immediately name one party (Progressive/Bull Moose) and throw out the big two (Woodrow Wilson (D) won, I really doubted incumbent William Howard Taft (R) would finish fourth even with Roosevelt siphoning off votes). Flailed for a bit and finally took a WAG on Communist; so close.
Oh, what has science wrought? I sought only to turn a man into a metal-encased juggernaut of destruction powered by the unknown properties of a mysterious living crystal. How could this have all gone wrong?

I misread the answer and thought the parties were at opposite ends of the spectrum. Figured it out just in time to get both in with some illegible scribbling at the end of Progressives. I’m counting it.

I liked Morgan and was glad she won. Liking Katie better every episode.

Judges, would both parts of the runner-up party's name be required or could you call it good for just the more well known one?
Spoiler
Bull Moose and Socialist was my response

That's a solid yes in my book.

Should the "Schitt's Creek" caption be noted in the archive? It was easy to figure out why they did that.

These were not boards today. I think I only got about eight right. Even the word category skunked me.

Had Bull Moose on FJ! but high and dry on the other. Didn't know socialist went that far back.

Big fat skunk on the TV category. Usually do well on those.

Took a few seconds to work out the parties, but I got Bull Moose and Socialist.

Even is LSV gets all of the scary movies there is little chance he gets all of the TV. No perfecto on this one.

7/10 for me on the fun clues as I blanked on Mr. Succession's name, was up a creek with a detour to Mrs. Maisel, and too generic of a name for me to recall the Central Park title. Brendan was the right guy at the right time as I suspect that TV category could have been a train wreck past SNL on other days.

I guess I'll be the one to say it:

Anyone else surprised that "Socalist" was allowed to fly in this age of Barry Gordy?

Democratic was my kneejerk thought, but I recalled Wilson won in 1912. So he was #1 and Taft was #3, and I had to fill in the blanks. Roosevelt and the Progressive/Bull Moose Party were the easy #2, and Debs with the Socialist Party was my guess for #4. After my cluelessness yesterday, it was nice to pull this out.

It's apparently a mandate. viewtopic.php?p=339147#p339147
(Apparently one cannot quote locked posts...and I was too lazy to fake it.)

J! apparently couldn't afford the full logo though, as is the style.

Also: "lily-livered"
The best thing that Neil Armstrong ever did, was to let us all imagine we were him.
