Re: Wednesday, May 5, 2021 Game Recap and Discussion (SPOILERS)
Long credits again.
Hanna said her sister came in 2nd by a buck a few years ago. Hanna gets bragging rights for a slightly longer stay.
3/5 for me in VWLSS STCMS as I could not spot the last two in time. Advantage WoFers. Go Hammer, gotta catch 'em all.
Elliott was clutch in closing the DJ! round with the 1600 and 2000 clues to take a narrow $600 lead. Elliott was in position to make Jamie regret "only" betting $4K on DD3 and then he gifted the game back with the conservative wager.
Jamie lost $3K on DD2 and what did she do on the next one? She bet even more. No once bitten, twice shy for Jamie. She was going to bet big in the FJ! round as the signs were already there. Elliott took a chance on the FJ! round going a different way and it did not pay off. Hope he enjoyed, is enjoying, his restless nights.
The FJ! category had me precall Beatles, Beach Boys or Pink Floyd.
The FJ! clue must have had me with precalls on the mind as I wrote "Dark" before shaking my head at myself and switching to the correct response. Hope Jamie's blood pressure is lower tomorrow as she looked like her heart was beating out of her chest today with nerves.

Here's my best guess for the sister: https://www.j-archive.com/showgame.php?game_id=6039MarkBarrett wrote: ↑Wed May 05, 2021 1:40 pm Hanna said her sister came in 2nd by a buck a few years ago.

Since the clue mentioned the "British spelling", I wonder if "Rumors" would have been accepted?

Re: Wednesday, May 5, 2021 Game Recap and Discussion (SPOILERS)
VWLLSS STCMS $800 and $1000 should have been swapped. Sometimes I think the writers purposely put the hardest clues in the second-lowest box on the board just to give the players a break/add some dynamics to the game: get an $800 clue wrong, make it up with $1000 on the next clue.

I only got to "Love" on the $800. I was trying to work with "Texas" on the $1000.Robert K S wrote: ↑Wed May 05, 2021 2:19 pm VWLLSS STCMS $800 and $1000 should have been swapped. Oh, wait, was that Mark's typo or the show's? Because that changes everything. I was playing off the Archive and would have easily gotten "LV LCY".

Should there be a note or an erratum? Or the writers are doing a grade school thing of A-E-I-O-U and sometimes Y?
All I know is I don't see a Y.
