Spencer said he did not know sports and he sure proved it.

I like the lady in the green shirt looking over his left shoulder. Unlike the lady over his other shoulder who is dutifully clapping along, she seems to know he just threw $1,000 away.
Are the questions like this usually that easy?

The Audience Game questions are usually softballs. A few seasons ago, the audience contestant played what would have been the last contestant's next question. It happened once where that was a Million Dollar Question. Still only worth the $1000 though (or whatever alternate prize they might have on offer).

I hadn't thought about it previously, but I'd guess that they're usually at the $1,000 to $3,000 level.

July and August in Vegas. Wonderful. Just wonderful. Not that I'll be turning it down, mind you. But that also means calls should be going out soon ...

I'm hoping they call me to be there at the same time as TCONA...imagine the pool of plus ones I could draw from
Total game show career losings = $171,522

I would think attendees would rather be at TCONA, I'm hoping for a date right before or after.

There might be some that come early/leave late just to see millionaire though

Personally, I'd limit my hoping to getting The Call, period.

Auditioned in LA this past Friday.

Passed the multiple choice test, interviewed with a producer. Got an e-mail telling me "unfortunately" this morning. Very fun and memorable experience, since it's my first time auditioning for any game show, and I executed on everything that I could control. (The actual trivia)

Today's 4:30 rerun was in fact the infamous Elle episode. Good lord.

To be fair, I completely understand how she got on the show.

Just watched the entirety of Friday's episode... man, what a softball for $50k.

Also, it seems one person never listened to her dentist...

Spoiler
negged the $50k question after using up her lifelines and left with $5,000.
According to her website, she competed on Jeopardy! in 1985, coming away with a tea service and a year's supply of Hamburger Helper.

But before that she evidently won big on a Tom Kennedy show called Whew! She also won on Pyramid and Scrabble, competed on others, and lent her services as a practice contestant for a few pilots.

This web page is really pretty remarkable, and might be helpful, as her game apparently hasn't been archived:

Good news, Deborah's J! appearance is in the Tunein collection.

Just now saw this. As always I’m in awe of your determination to close in on a complete archive.
